Chapter 47 - Chapter 46

Sienna heard what the girl said and slapped her right away. Then she turned to Felix and asked coldly, "Are you still planning to hold her?"

When Felix met Sienna's cold eyes, he quickly let go and stepped back, shaking his head. "No."

The girl looked at Felix's reaction and lowered her eyes. Her expression also turned cold, but when she looked up, she acted all innocent. "Sister, don't hit me. I was wrong. I really meant well."

A man watching nearby spoke up. "Miss, you're not taking care of him yourself and won't let others do it either?"

"Exactly."

An older woman turned to the girl and said, "Young lady, I know you meant well, but he has a wife. If his wife doesn't take care of him, why should you? They don't appreciate it."

"Right, you're just too kind."

People around started talking, and all of them were blaming Sienna.

Felix finally understood what was going on. The girl didn't explain clearly, so he tried to speak up. "It's not what you think."

But the girl quickly cut in. "Felix, you can't defend her just because you're close to her. Look, Rowan's been in the hospital for so long, and she just looked at him and left. She didn't even stay to take care of him and made you, a man, do it."

Sienna didn't give anyone else a chance to speak. She stepped forward and kicked the girl, then grabbed her by the neck and said, "So you actually knew I asked Felix to take care of him? I thought you didn't know. Then tell me, who gave you the right?"

The girl's face turned worse, and she used all her strength to try to pry Sienna's hand off.

"Tell me, does taking care of a married man feel good? How does it compare to now?"

"Let… go."

Felix was terrified when he saw what Sienna was doing. He rushed to pull them apart. "Sienna, let go! This could get someone killed. This isn't a joke."

When Sienna didn't respond, Felix tried to pull her hand off, saying, "Sienna, stop! Let her go! She looks like she's about to pass out. You'll go to jail for killing someone. Think about Rowan!"

Sienna looked at Felix's anxious face. "Let go."

"I'll let go, but you also need to let this girl go. Killing is a crime. You can't kill people. She can barely breathe."

No one around dared to say anything anymore. They all thought she was crazy. If it weren't for fear of drawing attention, they would've already run. Especially those who spoke the loudest earlier—they were shaking now, wishing they could hide.

Sienna didn't give them that chance. When she saw the girl was really about to pass out, she finally let go. The girl started coughing and gasping for air like crazy. Sienna grabbed her hair and forced her to lift her head.

"How does it feel? Still want to help take care of my man next time?"

The girl shook her head wildly. "I… cough cough… I won't… dare… cough cough…"

Seeing how scared she looked, Sienna nodded in satisfaction. She thought, Seems like her survival instinct is decent. Mom was right—when someone clings to you, just beat them. If one beating isn't enough, do it more times.

Unconscious Rowan: Why do my legs feel cold? Did the blanket fall off?

After getting the answer she wanted, Sienna threw the girl aside and turned to face the people who shouted the most.

They all lowered their heads, hoping she wouldn't look at them. But it didn't work. Sienna walked toward them.

The man who spoke first took a step back and trembled. "Miss… what are you going to do? I'm warning you, this is a hospital."

Sienna gave him a sweet smile, then dragged him forward. She brought all the ones who shouted the loudest to the front and started beating them.

After more than ten minutes, Sienna tossed the girl and the others together. "Speaking without knowing the situation has consequences. What this girl did counts as interfering in a military marriage, which is illegal. And all of you helped her."

Hmph. Don't think she's a post-apocalyptic robot who doesn't know anything. Military marriages are protected now. That should scare them.

"You can ask this girl for your medical bills. After all, you were trying to help her out of kindness. She's a good person, so she definitely won't ignore you. She'll take care of you."

After saying that, she turned and looked at Felix. "Aren't you leaving?"

Felix quickly followed her. The others saw them leave and also scattered. This incident scared them and gave them a mental warning. Next time they watch drama, they'll keep their mouths shut.

Felix carefully followed behind. He moved quietly. When they got back to the hospital room, Sienna looked at Felix and suddenly punched him in the stomach.

"Ah, Sienna!"

Sienna ignored his cry of pain and kept hitting his face and body.

After she was done, she asked, "Do you know what you did wrong?"

"I shouldn't have let anyone touch Rowan, especially not a woman."

"And what else?"

"I shouldn't be so blind, thinking someone looked pitiful and helping her. That person didn't mean well."

"Good. Remember to open your eyes next time. If you can't, I'll dig them out myself."

Felix immediately said, "There won't be a next time!"

Felix felt wronged. He just thought the girl looked pitiful and kind. He didn't mean anything else. If he had known, he wouldn't have let her help.

When Rowan woke up, he saw Sienna sitting by the bed, staring at his legs in a daze. He wasn't sure what she was thinking, but it felt a little dangerous, so he quickly spoke up.

"Sienna."

Sienna turned her head when she heard his voice. "Rowan, you're awake."

"Yeah. Sorry for worrying you."

"It's okay. Do you feel any discomfort? Do you want some water?"

"No discomfort. I do want water."

Sienna quickly got up and poured him some water. Soon after, Felix came in carrying food. He saw Rowan awake and sitting up in bed, and rushed forward excitedly.

"Rowan, you're awake. That's great!"

Rowan looked at Felix's bruised face and asked, "Felix, who hit you?"

Felix was about to answer when Sienna spoke up. "I did."

Rowan looked at Sienna. "Did Felix do something to upset you?"

Rowan was confused. Sienna wouldn't just hit someone, especially not Felix, just because of him. Maybe it had something to do with his injury?

He thought for a moment and added, "Sienna, it's not his fault that I got hurt. Don't blame him."

"I know."

"Then what did he do to make you mad? Tell me and I'll help you hit him."

"He let a woman take care of you. She even used a cotton swab to help you drink water."

Sienna spoke while slowly glancing down at Rowan's legs.
