Chapter 56 - Celestials

Kiriya and Saya spent nearly thirty minutes bathing.

For them, this was the most comfortable and thorough wash they'd ever had in their lives.

Not only did they have access to a clean, well-kept bathtub, but there were also plenty of fragrant soaps and shampoos to choose from. The water was clear, warm, and pure—like something out of their wildest dreams.

To the Cursed Children of this world, this alone was enough to fulfill their deepest wishes.

They never asked for expensive clothes, fancy schoolbags, or toys. All they wanted were clean, comfortable clothes to wear.

They never expected lavish, gourmet meals every day. They just wanted enough food to fill their stomachs.

They never wished for prestigious families or influential parents. They only longed for someone who would love them—without disgust or rejection.

Yet even these simple desires were too much for the world to grant.

Most Cursed Children were abandoned by their own families, eventually rounded up and confined by government facilities. There, they were treated as tools—paired with normal humans from private security firms to carry out missions, fighting against the Gastrea.

Of course, in most cases, it was always the Cursed Children who bore the brunt of the battles.

But because Kiriya and Saya's abilities weren't combat-oriented, they were never taken in by the Cursed Children's management organization. Instead, the sisters were left to wander the streets alone, surviving each day by begging.

And they weren't the only ones living like this.

After finishing their bath, the sisters stepped out and noticed the Holy Emperor sitting beside Yuki.

Kiriya and Saya couldn't help but observe the faint blush on Seitenshi's cheeks, her lips glistening slightly, and the subtle hint of shyness lingering in her eyes.

Kiriya, innocent and oblivious, asked with concern:"Sister Seitenshi, are you sick? Your face is so red!"

"Ahem… No, Kiriya. I'm fine," Seitenshi coughed lightly, shaking her head.

"Come, you two must be starving. Let's eat!" she quickly urged, guiding them to the table.

Kiriya nodded, her eyes shimmering with a mix of excitement and bashfulness as she took a seat beside Yuki.

Saya, however, seemed to have an inkling of what might have happened—but she stayed silent, choosing to sit across from Yuki instead.

Soon, the sisters' attention was completely captured by the feast laid out before them.

"Go ahead, don't hold back," Yuki said warmly, smiling at their eager expressions.

"Okay! Let's eat!" the two chimed in unison, swiftly picking up their chopsticks and digging in.

"Aren't you going to try some?" Yuki turned to Seitenshi beside him with a playful grin.

"Let them eat their fill first. I'm not hungry," she replied softly.

Then, beneath the table, her hand slowly reached for his.

Yuki smiled, intertwining their fingers before gently tracing circles on her palm.

Feeling the teasing tingle in her palm, Seitenshi shot Yuki a playful glare.

Though their brief thirty minutes together had only been a taste of what could be, it was enough to solidify the relationship between them. And despite everything, Seitenshi couldn't help but feel a quiet thrill.

After all, landing a man like Yuki? She'd hit the jackpot.

While the sisters were busy eating, Seitenshi checked the group chat.

Holy crap.

The moment she opened it, messages flooded her screen—most of them from Artemis.

Artemis: "What the hell? Why'd the stream cut off?"

Artemis: "Hey! Seitenshi! Yuki! What are you two doing?!"

Artemis: "Seitenshi, say something!!"

Artemis: "Aaargh! I can't believe this! My home's been robbed AGAIN!!!"

Saeko: "Ahem, Artemis, it's not that serious..."

Marika: "Well... this goddess is certainly... passionate."

Seitenshi burst out laughing at Artemis's dramatic outburst. Beside her, Yuki shook his head in amusement.

'I'll have to visit the Type-Moon world soon', he mused.

Once Kiri and Saya finished eating, Yuki and Seitenshi led them away from the ruins they'd called home for so long.

"Big Brother Yuki, where are we going?" Kiri asked, her wide, watery eyes blinking up at him.

"Somewhere safe for now," Yuki reassured her, ruffling her hair. "Once everything's settled, I'll build you two a brand-new home."

With a snap of his fingers, a massive floating structure materialized in the sky above them.

Seitenshi stared up in shock. "Is that... a ship?"

"More accurately, a cosmic battleship," Yuki corrected with a grin. A mere thought later, they were all standing aboard the vessel.

On the deck, a group of figures in vibrant, faceless armor stood waiting. Their designs were bizarre, their suits radiating a futuristic, otherworldly aura.

"Who are they?" Seitenshi whispered.

One of them—clad in blue-and-gold armor—stepped forward and dropped to one knee before Yuki. The others followed suit in perfect unison.

"The Celestials of the cosmos pay homage to the Supreme!"

Yuki nodded, raising a hand. "Rise."

Only at his command did the Celestials stand.

And rightly so—because every single one of them, including this ship, was Yuki's creation.

They were the Celestials, one of the most infamous factions in the Marvel universe. Each was an abstract entity, a literal embodiment of cosmic concepts. Their power was beyond measure.

Normally, the Celestials were colossal beings, their ships dwarfing entire galaxies. But for the sake of convenience on Earth, they'd compressed their forms—and their vessel—to a more manageable size.

"I assume you're all aware of the situation on this Earth?" Yuki said.

"Indeed, Supreme," replied the lead Celestial—One Above All (OAA), the prime overseer of the Celestial hierarchy.

"The task is simple: make sure those guilty bastards suffer the most excruciating torment possible—without letting them die. Then toss them into this Lightless Hell."

Yuki tossed a black cube to the Celestial OAA. It was something he'd just conjured on a whim, a prison with infinite space inside.

Anyone locked within would be trapped in a pitch-black, soundless void—just five square meters of absolute nothingness. No time, no death, no escape. They wouldn't be able to hear a thing, nor could they scream. Natural death? Suicide? Impossible. Only endless darkness.

"How long does the Supreme wish this punishment to last?"

"Hmm… Let them savor it a little. No need to rush. Just make sure every last one of them is locked up by tomorrow nightfall."

"As for rescuing the Cursed Children and the few genuinely kind-hearted souls out there—bring them here immediately. Fast as you can."

Yuki rubbed his chin. Realistically, the Celestials could finish all of this in under an hour. But why rush? Let the guilty stew in their suffering a while longer.

"Understood. I will see it done."

The Celestial leader bowed, then withdrew with his kaleidoscopic-armored kin to carry out their orders.

With everything arranged, Yuki turned to Seitenshi and the sisters.

"Now—let's get you all settled."

He led them toward the ship's resting quarters.
