Chapter 31 - [31] I'm Not Just Any Uchiha

The moment his Mangekyō Sharingan activated, Yuhara felt as though everything had fallen within his grasp.

In that instant, his eyes seemed to perceive everything—the trajectories of his enemies, the angles of their attacks, even their strength and fleeting thoughts. Nothing escaped his vision.

It was a strange and exhilarating feeling. And now, he finally understood something.

Why Uchiha Madara, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, had dared to take on the entire Allied Shinobi Forces by himself with just a single pair of Sharingan. He truly had the power to back it up.

"Though to be fair," Yuhara mused, "Madara only used his three-tomoe Sharingan for most of that fight. He didn't even bring out his ninjutsu until after the warm-up, when Temari blasted him off the battlefield with Wind Release."

Madara's level was something Yuhara couldn't even fathom. It had gone beyond the human limit.

Still, Yuhara wasn't without his own hopes. Compared to Madara, he was worlds apart—and he didn't have a brother, so the path to the Eternal Mangekyō was a complete unknown.

But as someone who had transmigrated into this world, Yuhara knew very well how Madara had evolved step by step.

More importantly, he had something Madara never did—a system that was both a blessing and a curse.

Without that system, he probably wouldn't even have the Mangekyō right now. He might've taken Kotoha's advice and fled Konoha long ago.

But because of it, he was now chained to this dying clan, forced to stay and find a way to save it.

With a faint shake of his head, Yuhara cleared his mind of all distractions and entered full battle mode. He had originally planned to train with Shisui to get used to the Mangekyō, but since someone had come looking for trouble...

There was no need to hold back.

"That eye…" the Root leader's voice finally showed a flicker of emotion when Yuhara's Mangekyō appeared.

Yuhara could feel his surprise and unease, though the mask hid his face.

"Die!"

At that moment, one of the Root ninjas lunged, slashing down at Yuhara with a kunai blade.

But the instant he moved, Yuhara's right eye spun rapidly—his unique dojutsu, "Reversal", activated silently. His body moved on its own.

He had already seen through the attack the moment it began. With a slight shift of his body, the blade missed him completely.

Whir—!

A kunai suddenly appeared in Yuhara's hand.

With a fluid motion, he twisted his body and struck back. The kunai sliced through the Root ninja's throat in one precise, calculated strike.

Blood spilled through the man's fingers as he dropped to his knees, clutching his neck.

Another attacker charged in immediately from the side. Yuhara twisted his body again, flipping the kunai from his right hand to his left.

His blood-red eyes locked onto the enemy, and the man froze for a split second.

In that moment, Yuhara's blade struck—piercing straight through his chest.

It had only been a few seconds, and already two elite Root operatives were dead. The rest hesitated, a flicker of fear breaking their mechanical calm.

Each of them had undergone brutal training. Only the best of the best made it into the field. They were taught to abandon emotion, thought, and identity. They were tools—pure weapons of execution.

And yet two had just fallen with almost laughable ease to a boy who looked no older than fifteen.

Still, fear didn't stop them. They weren't pausing to retreat. They were recalculating—changing tactics.

Yuhara was curious to see what they'd try next. He was also beginning to notice that his dojutsu, Reversal, was even more useful than he'd expected.

"My taijutsu was decent before, but this level of precision? That's new."

"With this Reversal ability, it's almost like Sage Mode—every sense is amplified. I've been enhanced across the board."

He had suspected as much when he first saw the ability's description, but this was the first time he'd actually used it in combat. Now that he had, he understood.

Theory was one thing—practice was truth. And as he continued using it, he also noticed something else.

A strange energy was flowing within his eyes. It wasn't draining as quickly as he had feared.

"Is this what they call ocular power?"

That seemed to be the most likely answer. It had to be the legendary "chakra of the eyes" used to fuel Mangekyō techniques.

Yuhara knew that running out of ocular power would eventually lead to blindness. He couldn't afford to overlook that.

But as long as he didn't use large-scale techniques—or overuse Reversal—his chakra drain remained manageable.

That was good news.

Still, he needed to push further. He had to test how well Reversal synergized with ninjutsu… with his unique skills… and eventually, with Susanoo.

According to the system, Reversal enhanced all types of jutsu.

And since many of Yuhara's abilities were localized versions adapted to this world, Reversal should naturally augment them too.

Even dojutsu techniques counted as jutsu.

His other eye held another power—Gyokutsume—which reduced the chakra burden of using Susanoo.

Yuhara could already feel it: a distant voice within his consciousness, calling to him.

The moment he awakened his Mangekyō, that voice had grown louder and clearer.

He knew it instinctively. That was his Susanoo. His guardian deity. The divine force that stood by Uchiha Yuhara.

"But now's not the time to summon it."

First, he needed to deal with the pests in front of him.

As he collected his thoughts, the remaining Root operatives moved into formation, surrounding him.

This time, their attack was far more coordinated. Each position provided cover for the others. Their assault would be fluid and overlapping.

"Not bad," Yuhara muttered with a grin. "But you all seem to have forgotten something…"

"I'm not just any Uchiha."

As his voice dropped, a surge of chakra exploded from within him.

In that moment, he no longer looked like a shinobi—he stood there like a god of war, cloaked in the bloodlust of an Asura.
