Sophie's phone rang up then, noticing it was a message from the boys.
"Uh, I have to get going," said Sophie, "there is an urgent meeting tonight."
As Sophie was about to rush off, Lillian reminded, "Take the car. We will take the bus home."
The girl nodded before hurrying off.
"About today..." Jasper slowly started.
Lillian glanced at him.
"Thank you. However, from next time on, don't get involved. Your friend too, keep her away." A subtle frown sat on Jasper's face, showing his solemn attitude.
Lillian responded, "Since you helped me, it's only right I return it."
A yawn left her mouth following that. Lillian's posture went slack with her back bowed.
"Do you need me to carry you?" asked her brother.
Lillian stared at Jasper in a hint of surprise in her eyes before shaking her head. Thinking about how the man preferred to keep distance, she didn't think he would suggest it.
"I can go on until the bus station," Lillian responded.
