Then, Guy again flew into the sky. Hovering high above the battlefield, he looked down at the group of White Zetsu and modified ninjas. Without hesitation, he again telepathically said to Jiraiya, "Order your Konoha shinobi to retreat."
As soon as Jiraiya heard this, he immediately understood that Guy must be preparing to use some powerful move again, and the ninjas from Konoha would only be caught in the crossfire if they did not retreat. A brief seriousness crossed Jiraiya's face. He did not waste even a second.
"Retreat!" Jiraiya ordered immediately.
The Konoha ninjas did not question the command. Almost instantly, they left their opponents and started moving away, retreating as fast as possible while creating distance from the battlefield. Dust rose beneath their feet as hundreds of shinobi pulled back.
In the sky, Guy slowly stretched out his arm, and his open palm pointed directly downward toward the massive army consisting of White Zetsu and those ninjas modified with Hashirama cells. For a brief moment, everything felt strangely still.
Then Guy said calmly,
"Nuclear Magic: Abyss Annihilation."
Suddenly, a beam was released from his palm. The beam descended like a pillar of judgment and directly hit the ground at the center of the army.
And then—
Boom.
A massive explosion erupted.
The earth violently trembled as an enormous shockwave burst outward in all directions, flattening everything in its path. The battlefield disappeared beneath blinding light and roaring destruction. Soil, debris, and shattered bodies were launched into the air as the explosion continued to expand.
A gigantic mushroom-shaped explosion formed in the sky.
Its glow illuminated the faces of all the Konoha ninjas who had now retreated far away. Their clothes fluttered from the lingering shockwave, and many instinctively raised their arms to shield their eyes while staring at the unbelievable scene. The battlefield where the enemy army had stood was now swallowed by annihilation.
Looking at the extent of the destruction that Guy's attack had caused, Jiraiya stood frozen for a brief moment. Jiraiya had seen the blast of a Tailed Beast Bomb in his life, yet even he could not hide the disbelief in his eyes.
He quietly said, "This is even more powerful than a Tailed Beast Bomb."
Soon enough, when the effect of Guy's attack was gone, what remained was a gigantic crater. The entire area had turned totally charred black, as if the land itself had fallen into an abyss. There was no sign left of the White Zetsu army or those ninjas modified with Hashirama cells. Smoke slowly rose from the scorched earth, and the air still carried traces of heat that distorted the view.
Jiraiya looked toward Guy, who was still floating calmly in the sky. His face had no stress, no signs of exhaustion, and not even a slight change in expression, as if he had not just used such a devastating attack.
Looking at Guy, Jiraiya said, "This guy is not called the second strongest in the world for nothing." Jiraiya narrowed his eyes and continued observing him. Looking at him, it seemed that he could fire attacks like that many more times.
Hiruzen, who was standing beside Jiraiya, nodded and said, "You are absolutely right. The strength that he has shown is truly tremendous." His eyes remained fixed on the distant figure in the sky. "Attacks even surpassing that of a Tailed Beast Bomb... and then also, he acts as if nothing has happened. This shows just how vast his chakra reserves are."
For a brief moment, both Jiraiya and Hiruzen felt relief. The army of White Zetsu and those modified ninjas were now gone. The battlefield that had looked impossible to overcome just moments ago had been completely erased.
But that relief lasted only for a moment.
Suddenly—
The ground trembled.
A deep vibration spread through the battlefield, making small stones jump and cracks spread across the already destroyed land. Then came a loud roar. The sound was deafening and ancient, carrying a pressure that seemed to shake even the air itself.
Immediately, Jiraiya and Hiruzen turned in that direction. What entered their vision made both of them pause.
In the distance stood a gigantic beast. Its size alone was monstrous, towering over the ruined battlefield like a mountain that had suddenly appeared. Dust and smoke rolled around its enormous body as it stood there.
As soon as Hiruzen looked at that beast, his expression changed instantly. His eyes widened and he immediately exclaimed, "How did this beast appear here?"
Jiraiya looked at Hiruzen in surprise. He had never seen such a creature before. But even without knowing what it was, he could feel it. The pressure. It spread outward like invisible waves and made even breathing feel heavier.
Jiraiya asked seriously, "Do you know this beast? I have never seen such a beast." He kept his eyes fixed on the giant creature and added in a low voice, "The pressure it is exuding is even more than the Nine-Tails."
Hiruzen nodded and said, "This is a giant beast. It appeared many years ago. Its name is Shindoki." His eyes remained fixed on the enormous creature in the distance. "Many years ago, it caused quite a lot of rampage, and even for the First Hokage, it was difficult to contain it."
Jiraiya silently listened.
Hiruzen continued, "At that time, with the help of the Uzumaki clan head, Ashina Uzumaki, the beast was finally subdued. Ashina used his sealing techniques and, together with the First Hokage, sealed this beast away." His expression became serious as he spoke. "The location where it was sealed was kept unknown to everyone so that nobody could release it or try to use it for themselves. Because if the location of the beast had become known, then other major villages might have tried to capture it and turn it into a weapon."
Hiruzen looked at the giant beast again, his face growing heavier. "But it seems Akatsuki found this beast..." His eyes narrowed. "And now they are using it to cause a rampage here on the battlefield."
The gigantic beast stood in the distance and let out another roar. The sound rolled across the battlefield like thunder.
Even after witnessing Guy's previous attack and the complete destruction of the enemy army, many Konoha shinobi instinctively stiffened again. The pressure coming from Shindoki was simply different.
Guy, who was floating in the sky, also looked at that beast. He had heard Hiruzen's conversation with Jiraiya. For a moment, his eyes remained on the giant figure in silence.
As a child, he had heard stories about this beast and how the Uzumaki clan head, Ashina Uzumaki, had sealed it. After all, this had always been considered a proud moment in the history of the Uzumaki clan. A beast that even the First Hokage—known throughout the world as the God of Shinobi—had not been able to subdue alone had eventually been sealed through the power of the Uzumaki clan.
Because of that, the story had continued to spread among the clan generation after generation. Not only to preserve history—but also to prove the greatness of the Uzumaki clan and their sealing arts.
Guy remembered hearing those stories when he was young. Back then, the story had sounded almost mythical. A giant beast. The First Hokage. Ashina Uzumaki. It had all felt like legends from another era.
Yet now—that same legendary beast stood in front of him on the battlefield, roaring beneath the darkened sky.
Both Hiruzen and Jiraiya were expecting Guy to make a move, and they themselves were ready to support him. Guy was also about to act.
But then suddenly—he stopped. Instead of flying toward Shindoki, Guy slowly descended and landed back on the ground.
Hiruzen frowned slightly at this. Looking at Guy, he immediately said, "We have to stop this beast as soon as possible, or else this beast will cause a lot of damage to the Konoha forces." His expression became serious. "Let's go. We should move immediately." He said this not only to Guy but also to Jiraiya standing beside him.
Jiraiya nodded. "Okay, let's go." Without hesitation, he immediately jumped onto Gamabunta's head, preparing to move.
But at this time, Guy calmly said, "No need to go."
Hiruzen and Jiraiya paused.
Guy looked toward the distant giant beast and continued, "This beast will be taken care of."
As soon as Guy finished speaking—under the confused gaze of Hiruzen and Jiraiya—suddenly, the sky changed.
Space itself distorted. A giant black hole opened in the sky. Darkness spread outward from it, and the battlefield dimmed as though the heavens had been torn apart. Winds began to howl, carrying immense pressure that made countless people instinctively look upward.
Then—from within the giant black hole—a gigantic red dragon emerged. Its enormous body slowly came into view, covered in crimson scales that reflected the darkened sky. Each movement carried overwhelming majesty and pressure.
As soon as Hiruzen and Jiraiya saw the red dragon emerging, they immediately knew. The Dragon Emperor—Antares Uzumaki—had arrived.
The giant dragon descended through the sky and faced Shindoki directly. As soon as Antares, in his red dragon form, looked at the giant beast, his golden eyes narrowed and he spoke in a cold voice that echoed throughout the battlefield.
"Filthy beast." His gaze sharpened. "Stop your rampage."
Shindoki immediately looked toward Antares. The giant red dragon that had appeared before him was almost even larger than himself. For a brief moment—both monsters simply stared at one another. One was an ancient beast feared in history. The other was the Dragon Emperor.
Then Shindoki roared. Its roar exploded through the battlefield and shook the air.
Antares answered immediately. He also opened his mouth and released a dragon roar.
The collision of their roars alone created a massive shockwave.
Boom—
The air distorted visibly. The shockwave spread across the battlefield and reverberated in every direction. Trees cracked, loose rocks shattered, and many shinobi staggered from the force.
Shindoki moved first. Without warning, it opened its mouth and immediately fired an enormous energy beam toward Antares. The beam tore through the sky.
Antares was not to be outdone. His gigantic body glowed faintly, and immediately he unleashed—
"Breath of Destruction."
A colossal beam of fire erupted from his mouth. The flames looked almost alive as they surged forward and met Shindoki's attack head-on.
Both powerful attacks collided at one point. For a brief second—everything became silent.
Then—
BOOM.
A gigantic explosion occurred. Another enormous shockwave burst outward. This shockwave was humongous. The clouds above were blown apart, and the ground below the collision point instantly collapsed.
A massive crater formed beneath the explosion. The Konoha ninjas and even the Akatsuki army were sent flying by the force. Dust, debris, and scorching winds swept across the battlefield as two monstrous beings continued their clash beneath the darkened sky.
