Things were beginning to align, while falling apart at the same time.
Staying at Nirvana just to chase the trails of Alaric's death proved to not be a futile endeavour, yet the revelations that came with it was enough to give him a start.
Not only had he failed to uncover the people behind the male witch, but he had also failed to penetrate his mind even while burning through his blood power.
And yet only one man was powerful enough to resist his powers, or help others resist his powers, and that man was Vladimir. And something in the witches' eyes had confirmed the same.
Confirmed that in fact, Vladimir had a hand in this.
But why? And how? If not for anything, Alaric had always been Vladimir's prized Sired. The immortal he created when the whole world thought his power was down. The son he sired through a plethora of circumstances would render even the most romantic of stories to shame.
