**Wits and Wisdom—Mattia Turzo**

His fingers moved with an eerie calm, placing his bishop in a position she hadn't anticipated—because it wasn't a defensive position. It was an execution.

Ember's eyes twitched as she realized too late that her Queen, though dominating, was now caged. The bishop had cut off her retreat. His knight already covered the only escape square. She could sacrifice her Queen, of course, but that would doom her board.

The flicker of worry crossed her face, almost imperceptibly.

He had more.

With a second move—his rook swept in. Clean. Unmerciful. It cast a net over her flanks, slicing away the protection she had built so carefully. She blinked, only once, before reaching to adjust a pawn.

But Khaos was already reaching for his third piece. "Check," he said, calmly as though he were reciting the weather.

The board shifted. Her King cornered. Her pieces— too far to respond.

A suffocating silence fell over the game.
