[Correct answer!]
The system's prompt rang out immediately.
"YES! See?!"
Thor slapped his thigh excitedly.
As expected of him—the great Thor Odinson. While everyone else was stuck overanalyzing and hesitating, he had zeroed in on the key detail that made them waver.
And nailed it in one shot.
Impressive.
Even Thor himself couldn't resist giving himself a mental thumbs-up.
[Congratulations to respondent Thor Odinson for obtaining the reward skill: Magic – Banishment of Idle People!]
[Reward delivered. Please check it.]
With the system's next prompt, Thor completed a personal evolution of sorts—
Thor now knew magic.
"Magic… heh," Thor shrugged, looking distinctly unimpressed."Flashy stuff like that—barely acceptable."
Compared to magic, he still preferred smashing things with a hammer or blasting them with lightning. That was real fun.
"'Banishment of Idle People'?" Doctor Strange pondered aloud."Judging from the name, this spell is used to drive people away? Why would you even need magic for that?"
"Doctor, you're right on the money," Thor said, spreading his hands."This spell is specifically for driving people away."
"Once you use it, the target suddenly feels something like, 'I don't know why, but I really don't want to go there,' and they'll subconsciously detour on their own."
"That actually sounds like a pretty useful spell," Tony Stark said, eyes lighting up slightly."This isn't post-event crowd control—it's preemptive prevention. If that's the case, Thor, this magic is genuinely practical."
"If you used it on Thanos, what would happen?" Scott Lang asked eagerly."Would he just… leave Earth?"
"That spell probably wouldn't work on someone as powerful as Thanos," Strange said skeptically.
"Correct," Thor nodded."It's basically only effective on ordinary people."
"This magic could effectively prevent civilian casualties," Captain America said seriously—finally someone being sensible.
During missions, using this spell could stop civilians from accidentally wandering into a battlefield. You could even cast it ahead of time to clear the area entirely.
"For truly powerful beings, there's no such thing as 'accidental injury,'" Thor said flamboyantly."But I won't deny—it does have some use. If you need it, Rogers, I can give you some."
"How would you give it to me?" Captain America asked, surprised.
Magic… being given?
"This is rune magic," Thor said smugly."Basically, they're small cards imbued with magic. You just stick them in the appropriate place."
"Rune magic?" Scott Lang marveled."I thought magic always involved waving wands or shooting glowing golden beams like Strange does."
Rune magic was a completely new concept to everyone present.
Captain America's eyes lit up at the idea.If it was just a matter of sticking cards on things, it might actually be feasible—
But he quickly shook his head and dismissed the idea.
The spell was good, sure, but he couldn't rely on Thor to mass-produce magic cards forever. If it wasn't something he could personally control, better not use it at all.
[Answer phase complete. Beginning answer analysis playback!]
The system's voice interrupted their discussion.
An analysis video immediately appeared on the giant screen.
"All preparations are complete!"
"Have the spies all been notified?"
"Yes. Some expressed opposition to the new mission, but the spy networks in London, New York, and Hong Kong are standing by."
In what appeared to be a plaza-like area in Wakanda, numerous people were unloading crates, clearly preparing to transport something.
Two men stood aside, discussing matters.
Those watching the screen didn't recognize them—but T'Challa immediately did.
One of them was W'Kabi, leader of the Border Tribe.
The young man beside him, however, was a stranger to T'Challa.
Yet the way W'Kabi responded to him instantly revealed the truth.
That man—
Was Killmonger.
And judging by W'Kabi's deferential attitude, he was already king.
T'Challa was completely confused.
But the next camera angle confirmed it.
Okoye was following closely behind Killmonger.
And she was a member of the Royal Guard—whose sole duty was to protect the king.
"We'll strike those locations first. Others will follow once they see the results," Killmonger said casually, as if discussing trivial errands.
"Take a look at this."
He pulled a glowing "metal shovel" from a crate.
"This handheld sonic cannon can destroy tanks. Metal detectors can't detect it."
"And we have thousands of them. The world will finally understand our power."
"Sorry… quick question," Tony Stark couldn't help but ask."This is Wakanda?"
Wasn't Wakanda supposed to be the poorest country in the world?
Yet this place looked absurdly advanced.
Especially those sonic weapons—technology leagues ahead of the current era.
"Oh. Right. A nation capable of mining and processing vibranium couldn't possibly be poor," Tony immediately realized.
Vibranium was the hardest metal in the universe.Mining and utilizing it required unimaginable technology.
T'Challa's Black Panther suit was made from it.
"I should've known," Tony shook his head in admiration."Wakanda really fooled the entire world."
"We had our reasons," T'Challa said solemnly, not denying it.
Boom!
An explosion erupted on the screen.
A freshly launched aircraft was shot down midair, crashing into the ground in a fiery wreck.
Killmonger and the Royal Guard rushed over.
From the wreckage, a man in a Black Panther suit slowly emerged.
The helmet retracted.
It was T'Challa.
Everyone stared in shock.
"He's alive!" Okoye exclaimed in disbelief and joy.
Clearly, everyone had believed T'Challa dead.
Combined with Killmonger becoming king and Wakanda's challenge tradition, T'Challa quickly deduced what had happened—
Killmonger had defeated him in the royal challenge and either killed or gravely wounded him, leading everyone to believe he was dead.
"T'Challa!" Killmonger sneered."You're still alive?"
"I never yielded," T'Challa said as he advanced."And as you can see—I'm not dead."
"The challenge is over. I am king now," Killmonger replied coldly.
"Launch all aircraft. Continue the mission!"
"W'Kabi—deal with this clown!"
Okoye immediately protested, "W'Kabi! The challenge isn't over!"
After a moment's hesitation, W'Kabi chose to obey Killmonger.
The Border Tribe charged T'Challa.
"So… that guy is W'Kabi?" Scott Lang muttered."I'm a bit lost, but it looks like he attacked T'Challa on the new king's orders."
T'Challa nodded.At least W'Kabi hadn't betrayed Wakanda—he was following orders.
Cold, perhaps—but not treason.
"You are consumed by vengeance," Okoye shouted angrily at Killmonger."You are unfit to rule!"
Clang!
She slammed her spear into the ground.
The Royal Guard raised their weapons, pointing them at Killmonger.
Killmonger spread his arms. His nanotech Black Panther suit formed instantly.
"Come."
"Ayo—protect the king!" Okoye ordered.
Then she led the others into battle.
This made Wakanda's political structure painfully clear—
Each tribe followed its own leader first, the king second.
If those orders conflicted, loyalty went to the tribe.
The Wakandan king's authority was weaker than expected.
Civil war erupted.
The Royal Guard and Border Tribe clashed violently.
Outnumbered, the Royal Guard was nearly wiped out—
Until another tribe arrived.
Massive warriors with terrifying combat power charged into battle.
The tide turned instantly.
"The Jabari Tribe?" T'Challa was stunned.
They had always remained neutral.
Yet here they were—fighting for him.
Meanwhile, deep underground, T'Challa and Killmonger fought along the vibranium train tracks.
Evenly matched.
But the energy pulses from the track lights disrupted their suits.
T'Challa seized the moment.
One blade.Straight through Killmonger's heart.
Killmonger revealed his identity—
He called T'Challa cousin.
He was N'Jadaka—son of N'Jobu.
T'Challa's hatred dissolved into guilt.
"My father said Wakanda was the most beautiful place he'd ever seen…"Killmonger whispered.
T'Challa carried him to the mountain peak.
"Beautiful," Killmonger murmured at sunset.
"We can still save you," T'Challa pleaded.
"No," Killmonger refused."Bury me in the sea. Like my ancestors who jumped from ships—because they knew death was better than bondage."
He pulled the blade out.
And died.
The screen froze.
Wakanda's civil war ended with Killmonger's death.
But T'Challa's heart remained unsettled.
"Your country is astonishing," Scott Lang said sincerely.
"Wakanda's technology is centuries ahead," Strange added.
T'Challa nodded gravely.
"It's all a façade. Please keep our secret."
Everyone agreed.
[This round has concluded!]
Light flashed.
They returned to their own worlds.
