Aidan turned the shower on and let the water touch his body. He was strong in his physique, with a strong build of packs. Of course, that all came from a hard workout, but his thoughts believed the notion that a broad chest equates to coolness.
The water rained his body, and he closed his eyes, streaming the scenery of a girl waving a racket in a professional way. He delighted in the sight of her dimpled smile, the way her white skirt flew as she powerfully kicked the ball, and the sound of her merry laughter that echoed through the air. By imagining that scenery, he parted his lips in delight and groaned.
"Who is she?"
Then her smirk and the memory of that dream suddenly came to his mind. He analysed the same woman, the same smile, the same eyes, she had, and he couldn't make himself aback.
"Who is she?" he mumbled again.
He was an introverted sort of person who didn't enjoy patrolling or being around lots of people, but he had a friend from childhood, Emris. He didn't think Emris could be his childhood friend, but he always claimed that and remained at his side, despite his dislike.
He turned off the shower after getting a bath and put on a towel. Having wet hair, he rubbed his hair with his hand while going out of the hostel hallway, towards his room.
He greeted his seniors on the way.
He opened up the door and dug into his blanket.
"Hey! You're back?" Jonathan asked while sitting at his desk, holding the joystick.
He didn't pay attention.
"Aaaaa! no-no again". The other boy, Mark, yelled while playing.
"And you lost, yeah! Jonathan shouted with joy.
Seized by anger, Mark tossed the joystick and covered his head with both hands.
"Hey Aidan! You wanna play?" Jonathan asked. He remained silent. "You were a top gamer in school". He added.
"But I was just an athlete, I think".
Aidan tore the silence at last.
He peeked and then felt disguised.
Aidan's eyes were half closed; he tried to sleep, but his phone beeped with a message. As soon as he saw the message, he jumped up, got dressed, and bolted out the door, slamming it shut.
Both boys turned their faces toward the door.
At the ground
"Hey! "
"Hey Aidan. Let's go get some air."
He smiled at it.
"So, how are your new roommates?" Emris asked while they were crossing out the track at the main door of "YOUTH SPORT UNIVERSITY."
"Let's go to my favourite place," Aidan added.
"Emris chuckled, I know your favourite place. Hey, you wanna drink? "
At a restaurant that seems neither good nor looking much decent. They began eating the food.
"It tastes so good every time, this chicken!" He complimented while eating. Emris ordered a glass of drink.
"You know, buddy! We're athletes, so we're not used to drinking like this, but hey, we're young, and we can't help ourselves." Emris gulped down the wine.
The old man stared at them while sitting beside their table.
"Hey, you two!" His shouting distracted the surrounding people. The situation became tense as both young boys glanced back. Their faces went pale, they raised themselves from their chairs.
"Hey! Ru-un," Emris whispered.
Aidan got blanked at that time. He roamed his eyes, analyzing, and suddenly his eyes met a young lady who was continuously smiling and staring at him; somehow, her tear-filled eyes showed great care and sympathy for him. Emris grabbed his hand so tightly and began running. The old man shouted, but Aidan's eyes were still on that woman.
"You cannot escape from punishment!" the old man yelled from the back.
From a further distance, He watched from behind. There was no one. He jerked off Emris and stopped himself.
Both chuckled.
With heavy breath, they were laughing aloud, bending towards the ground with tiredness and pleasure. But they both knew the old man, who was their coach, would never leave them at any cost. They entered the university after running a lot, laughing out, screaming in joy, but the track was full of silence. They got their legs slower in speed and tried walking with no sound because it was 12:12 AM—time to stay put in the hostel.
With a big smile on his face, he was walking slowly across the track with Emris. He imagined those wet, melting eyes of a young and good-looking woman, and his face turned down, and he felt a little bit touchy towards her. He gulped his emotions.
At that moment,
The chuckle sound was both heard, the sound of women, somehow.
As they went nearer, the sound increased with their footsteps. It looked like someone was making fun of them, but they didn't resist walking inside. At last, their gaze fell on girls chuckling and chasing each other.
One was hiding behind the tree and mocking the other, and she was laughing and chasing her. The air was full of their noise, but Aidan went still after seeing her again. She was the one who came to his dream, that one girl who was playing tennis, wearing a white skirt. He lost his expression and forgot everything, every little thing about others and went lost in her delighted laughter.
Her look was somehow, looking cute as well as wondering, she was literally attracted. His eyes melted, and his body posture remained still like a statue.
Aidan's eyes fixed on her, his feet resisted in walking. Emris saw him and he stopped, too. They were a little further from them.
Her hair was looking shimmery in a dim track light, her face was flushed in widened dimples while laughing, and her hair was flinging as she kept chasing her friend around the tree. His face got a bit of a smile.
Emris saw that, and his face showed some kind of fear, frightening, and full of embarrassment. The scene was intense for him. He felt guilty for his poor friend, who was falling for the same girl again.
