Soon as that thought appeared in her mind, Anne shook her head pressing it down.
She was overthinking, how could he possibly care about her?
"No." She suddenly blurted her reply, quickly moving back from him.
Being so close to him felt so warm, it made tingles drizzle over her body and flutters erupt in her stomach that she needed distance to make those sensations stop.
Her feelings for him were starting to get out of hand, she knew what these feelings were but she wouldn't tolerate them...she shouldn't, if she didn't want to risk her heart shattering into pieces.
"I really have to go now." In her haste, she missed the dimness that appeared over his black eyes the moment she forcefully put some distance between them.
For that single moment, he looked like something important had been wrenched out of his fingers.
He didn't react as he watched her hurry away as if she truly didn't want to be in his presence.
