Chapter 4 - The Mysterious Boat

Walking away after giving up on fishing, I walked towards the pile again. This time I grabbed some wood. I tried to make a makeshift chair out of it, failing four times. I finally gave up and walked into the shack and sat on my bed.

Sitting on my bed, I drifted into a trance-like state. Before my eyes, everything changed from the inside of the shack to a hallway with different paintings of myself, all with different backgrounds. I walked around looking at the paintings. After looking for a while, one really stood out to me. I was sitting behind a black block that looked like the console. Except the room was different; it had all sorts of stuff in it. What stood out the most was the shack. It looked just like the one I was in right now.

With a sudden jerk, I was ripped out of the trance. I was sitting on the bed, sweating and panting. Blue text appeared in front of me, this time not on the screen. The text switched through millions of languages before appearing in English.

[It seems this pathetic master obtained enlightenment.] [It's not like it's going to help him; he hasn't spent enough time to understand what it means to obtain enlightenment.] [True, but he is the fastest a master has obtained enlightenment.]

The text disappeared after a little bit. It looked like someone was having a conversation. Questions swirled around in my head, and the biggest question was who the people talking just now were. I went outside to get some fresh air, still questioning what was going on. I didn't notice the ship on the horizon.

After a few more minutes of being out of it, I finally noticed the ship in the distance. I ran toward the pile of stuff and scrambled to get some wood to make a bonfire. After getting all the stuff I needed to make the bonfire, I ran towards the beach and set it up. After setting it up, I realized I had nothing to start it with. I was lucky the boat seemed to have seen me.

I went back to my cabin to get ready. After gathering my meager belongings, I ran towards the beach that it looked like they were coming near. It was as I was waiting for the ship that I noticed that I haven't eaten anything in the three days I have been on the island. I assumed this is maybe due to Void Breathing.

As the ship got closer, I noticed it resembled a pirate ship. The ship stopped about 600 feet out from the shore. Rowboats were being lowered into the ocean. They began to row towards the island, arriving at the shore in about forty minutes. I was standing there, guarding what little stuff I had.

The people began talking in an unknown language. I tried to talk to them but was met with words in another language I didn't know. After a few minutes of us exchanging words we both didn't know, they began to speak in Xarniawu, asking various things such as who I am and why I was here. I introduced myself and made up some random story about being stranded on the island.

One of them walked over to me and threw what looked like a blanket at me. They instructed me to get in the rowboat. I got onto the rowboat because if I didn't, it would be a while before another ship appeared. As they rowed toward the boat, I began to notice this boat was massive; it was maybe ten floors tall. We got close to the boat, and they threw down hooks, which the people in the boat grabbed and attached to one end of the rowboat. A rusty gear was heard turning as the rowboat slowly started to lift out of the water.

Finally, at a height where I could step off the rowboat and onto the ship, it had stopped being lifted. Some men came forward and grabbed me, dragging me towards what looked like the captain's quarter
