Chapter 2 - Re-nigga 1

Kazuki Saito, that was now Soul's new name.

It has been one and a half years since he woke up in this new world as baby, and at first, not gon' lie, he felt lost, after all, the last thing he remembered was getting marked by a fucking bear and then thrown into the void as a soul after and after living through something like that, it's relatively normal for someone to question their life and existence itself.

Now, he knew there was no heaven or hell, at least. But then, humanity's inapt adaptability prevailed, or maybe it was his way of being? Anyway, he did do with it did quickly enough and just shrugged it off.

It is what it is after all. Ain't nothing that can be done about it anyway. He always knew that humans were but a spoonful of shit in the Universe, never mind, it's probably Multiverse, and after seeing all that, it just got a little bigger, but humans remain the same.

'Or perhaps, humans are not really the same, or mayhaps I'm different from the rest, after all, I don't remember seeing these creepy beings of various shapes and sizes that are invisible to apparently everyone but me, crawling around.' Kazuki thought as he looked at a small, creepy, and crooked mouse-like thing pestering in his room's ceiling.

'Well, it's most likely that. This world is indeed not a normal one, and I'm just as abnormal.' Kazuki retracted his previous thoughts. There was indeed no cat girl and fantasy town, but this was indeed a proper isekai, if, just not the medieval kind.

'Or this is just a time travel, since this world is behind my previous one in timeline, and my cheat is to see those shitty disgusting creatures and be able to do this.'

He concluded before a speck of black energy gathered in his hand and punched at the unholy being with his small hands, turning it into dust.

When he first saw these kinds of monsters, he almost thought the bear and reincarnation process did numbers on him, maybe he was becoming crazy? Well, it turned out such was not the case, as when his mother came to help him change his diaper, he noted that she couldn't see it, and the creature wasn't really aggressive, so he began to observe it and try to understand why he was the only one to be able to do so.

He didn't discover anything in the first weeks, so he was getting pretty bored with it and was close to giving up until one day, one of these creatures crawled into his crib. At that moment, he felt a plethora of emotions, disgust of the ugly creature, and admittedly a bit of fear of the unknown. Angry at the little shit for intruding on his personal space, he just wanted to slap it away to kingdom come…and so he did. A dark purplish energy surrounded his left arm, and said arm, which shouldn't have had enough power or speed to do that kind of feat, slapped the monster to bits that splattered all over, before it melted in the atmosphere, restoring the sanctity of his room. He was left stupefied for a moment, but that passed just as fast; it was just what he needed.

Lord, should have seen the grin on his face.

He turned his attention to himself and soon discovered the dark energy responded to his negative emotions.

It was then that he discovered his new favorite activity in this life, no, in two lives even!

After months of research and training, fun mostly in reality, and due to it responding strongly to negative emotions and those creepy monsters, and the fact that he was only able to interact with them by using said energy.

He called it- wait for it- Cursed Energy or CE for short. Cause yeah, no shit, this was some JJK-type shit.

He also tried to train his control of CE in various ways and concluded that emotional control is essential to manipulate CE; that followed by a strong image or intent of the shape and purpose, just like what Gojo told Yuji. So, until proven otherwise, he decided in his quality as a fan of Jujutsu Kaizen, that this was the world of JJK, and if at the end of the day he got proven wrong, then that was that. The future him would deal with it then.

Anyway, back to CE, until now he has learned to enhance his physical ability, which he did a lot, cause he just liked the feeling of it, and he couldn't stay still knowing he now had superpowers. As for the plot, the timeline, Sukuna, or whatever, he would worry about that later, not like a baby could do anything about any of that anyway.

"Kazuki, the potty."

Kazuki sighed, still not over this baby thing at all. He used to be a grown man after all.

"Alright." He nodded, seemingly trying to look serious, though, to his mother, he appeared just that much cuter.

His mother was a normal Japanese woman, really, with nothing extraordinary to be said about. She was just a good mother overall, and from what information he could assess, just as good a wife for his new father.

"Oh my cutie, looking all serious." Said his mother, Aiko Saito, while gently patting his head. She was very proud and a little bit worried about how quickly her baby had been growing.

This past year, Kazuki tried too abnormal and advanced for his age, only moderate at best. He could stomach being treated as a gifted, not a prodigy. Honestly, even if he could meet the expectations that would then be set on him, it would be exhausting as time passed, and plus, not be fun at all. Because ultimately, he wasn't one, he only had some advantage over other children, like his past life memories, but that doesn't improve his intelligence, only his knowledge and wisdom-allegedly, or at least that's what he thinks.

The truth is that after his soul survived the void, perfect recollection is one of the best perks he gained besides that dashing look of his. Or maybe it wasn't because of the void, maybe now he remembered with his soul and not his brain, and that was why? Otherwise, how to explain that he still remembers his past life, now that he inhabits a different body? He discovered said gift, as, even now, he could not only clearly remember all of his past life but even this one. Though sometimes it was more of a curse, really.

As his mother took him out of his bed and hugged him against her bossom, he remembered about his first year, the year where babies are breastfed, it wasn't that bad actually, he wouldn't miss it of course, but it was very different from his point of view, really weird and uncomfortable the first few time and even the times after that but he eventually got used to it.

After he was done with the potty, his mother took him to the living room where she played baby toy games with him, though he preferred to play around with cursed energy on gis lonesome, and fantasies about what kind badass cured technique he will eventually awaken… because no shot he would be techiqueless, he already had trouble with the thought of him being systemless.

Still, he found it in him to be grateful for the time he could spend with his new family. His mother told his father it would help his development, and it does indeed, even in ways they couldn't see. While he physically played with them, like fitting the shaped block in the shaped hole, he found a way to still apply CE practice to it.

Controlling his CE to do the same, every toy now had its own CE training regime, so he genuinely had no reason to complain and simply enjoyed it, which also made his mother very happy. One shot, two bodies. A win-win situation, one would say.

Click* click*

He heard the sound of keys being inserted into a door, followed by it being opened.

"I am home." His father sounded tired.

"Welcome back, dear." His mother didn't hesitate to welcome him and liberate him from the weight of his work bag.

Kazuki, knowing just what to do to make his father's day noticeably better, from his mother's hands, gestured with both arms that he wanted to be picked up by his father.

And his father, Satoshi Saito, just did with a big smile on his face, genuinely happy to finally be with his beautiful wife and adorable son after a long day of work.

"How are my worlds doing today?" He asked as he hugged Aiko, before spinning Kazuki around, earning himself an assault of giggles.

He didn't even have to force it, because of his baby conditions, it wasn't hard for him to be overwhelmed by little things and get some fun out of it.

All in all, although a bit weird to believe at the time, his new circumstance wasn't the worst. He could even go as far as to accept he didn't dislike it.

Kazuki Saito could say that this… development ,if you will, was somewhat reasonable to him.
