"Ha ha ha haha" Edward James chuckled at what the Monk just said
"You think I'd believe that crap. I kept her with me for two months and found nothing about her related to my Maria, so don't think I'd be fooled, ha ha ha haha" he said not ready to believe even though the truth is before.
"You can believe what ever you want. Seat" the Monk told his son when they were both inside his bedroom.
"Why did you bring me here?" Asked Edward James
"Do you want to know the truth?" The Monk asked now getting pissed, Edward James shrugged his shoulders and took his seat, while the Monk brewed them some Chinese tea.
I came in contact with Maria on one of my trips to the Island; we got to know each other after I helped her get some coconut fruits. There after she invited me to her house and the rest is history.
During our conversation I learnt she is married and with a kid then but she had interest in real martial arts and I promise to teach her. It was around the period Kristen and Laz came visiting, even though she didn't want to let him take Mia she had to because she didn't trust anyone with her daughter.
At first I thought it was just nightmare but I discovered it's beyond that_ Maria was both emotionally and physically depressed and it began affecting her mental health. When she was with you she took drugs so you won't get worried or pity her but those drugs were just for the main time.
She needed to heal, she needed to come out from her dark past_ to be whole again.
That's the reason I brought her to the monastery for her to decide fully to become a believer so she can gain spiritual freedom and also give her the training she wishes for".
The Monk master paused then smiled
"She loves you more than herself but she's stubborn to admit it. She stares at your picture before going to bed and most importantly before any deadly mission". He said getting up to lay down on his bed.
"You should take care of her, she's your aunt Alicia's daughter. You mom and Alicia were best of friends same were. Maria is a good soul who had suffered the wickedness of evil men; she under went series of hypnotizing. She's a girl I love to the marrow treasure her son". The Monk said and beckoned on Edward James to come sit on his bed to which he did.
"I just want to hold you one last time, I know I haven't been a great father but I know am alive for a purpose which you'll understand sooner than later_ don't tell the old James about me. Call your sister I want to see her but you can't reveal who I am" the Monk said closing his eyes while Edward James took out his phone to make some calls.
