For two days Michelle hasn't been her usual self, a part of her regretted the way she behaved towards Pete; she knew he wasn't like his father or the uncle that abused Kassandra.
Pete was every ladies dream husband but she can't take off the fact that he's a son from the Bold family.
Her business had grown big now and she had hired some sales persons, all she does is to bake the pastries and let her employees finish up the rest there by creating more time for herself.
She had as well helped Kessy with her basic education and now she could read and write, she also introduced her to the online learning program which also help boost her.
She had developed a liking on Kessy right from the very moment she and her child came to her then mini shop and now she sees her as a family.
"Knew I'd find you here" came the voice which startled Michelle out from her thoughts.
She looked up to see it's none other than Pete.
"What are you doing here?" She asked instead
"Still mad at me? Well I don't want to leave without seeing you or saying goodbye" Pete said and she remembered he told her he'd be leaving in two days.
"Now you've seen me you can go" she said looking round the cottage to be sure her son wasn't outside.
"Will that make you happy?" Pete asked observing her every move, ' what's she hidding' he thought.
"Yes it will" she said getting up to her feet as she made attempt to walk away but it was too late because the rat she thought she killed exposed her with it's smell.
"Mum, mum Sun is being naughty again on the game!" Moon cried out running towards his mom.
"That's not aunt Mich!" Katrina said there after.
"No this isn't happening" Michelle said taking to her heels to her son who's just few steps away, just when she wants to pull the boy back inside with her a firm hand stopped her.
Pete who was holding onto Michelle stared at the younger version of himself, just like his ten year old of himself. He did a mental calculation of how Michelle disappeared without a word and how her grandma prevented him on several occasions from seeing her. He just got admitted into medical college and she was in her finals in high school and it took them three years after that to stumble on each other at an Xmas event but they couldn't reach out to each other because of their families. Since then till now it's been seven years not that he didn't search for her but his school and work restricted his actions as he went further in his ambition of becoming a renowned medical gynaecologist abroad. Growing up he never new how vast his father was connected until he was in medical school, his father made it possible he doesn't return except on Xmas and there after he's gone back.
"Let go of me, Will you?" Michelle spoke bringing him out from his thoughts.
"Really, don't you think you owe me an explanation" said Pete but Michelle sneered at him
"Mr Pete Bold I Michelle James owes you no explanation, you can go hit the rock for all, um umm" Pete couldn't take it anymore, to keep her mouth shut he kissed her not bordering about her reaction, he held her hands upward then bent her sideways so she won't repeat her previous actions of stamping on his foot.
At some point Michelle couldn't denial her feelings, she had dreamt and wished to be kissed again by none other than the one she had loved and still loves deep within.
Pete let go and smiled when he noticed her eyes closed but hidden it when she opened her eyes.
" Sure we can talk now" said Pete with a stern expression.
"I don't have anything to talk about rather you should go to Mr William Bold" Michelle said and hurried inside shutting the door behind her.
Pete stayed back few minutes wondering what might have transpired between his father and her, he knew his father is a cruel and selfish human who thinks about himself alone.
