"No way… nine more of them?"
High in the sky, nine tailed beasts tore open space as they appeared.
Kyoraku Shunsui's face turned grim. He gripped his Zanpakutō tightly, a bitter feeling weighing down his heart like he'd swallowed pure Coptis root. He was at a loss for words.
Things were already bad enough once Aizen Sōsuke entered the battlefield. The Shinigami were barely hanging on.
And now, nine more powerful creatures had shown up.
To Shunsui, each of these tailed beasts looked as strong as Starrk, the top-ranked Espada.
Especially the Nine-Tails—its violent spiritual pressure was even greater than that of Starrk or Baraggan.
How are we supposed to fight a war like this?
Jūshirō Ukitake looked just as troubled.
But instead of focusing on the beasts, he turned to the ground below—toward Captain-Commander Yamamoto.
"Sensei… Aizen Sōsuke…"
He shouted, his voice filled with disbelief, eyes locked on the fallen old man lying in a crater far below.
The strongest Shinigami in Soul Society's history—down.
His breath was weak. His body, burned and blackened, looked like charred wood. Though he still held his flame-based Zanpakutō, he looked like he could die at any moment.
Everything had happened so fast. Once the shock wore off, the gathered Shinigami finally noticed what had happened.
"The Captain... was defeated?"
"..."
"How could Aizen have taken down the Captain...?"
Everyone's expressions changed drastically.
Even Nanaya—the rogue who had once thrown all of Soul Society into chaos—had no choice but to run when faced with Yamamoto.
And now… Yamamoto had fallen to Aizen.
"The old man was too careless…" Shunsui muttered bitterly, clenching his fists. "If I had known this would happen, I would've warned him… told him to listen to Nanaya's warning…"
Regret overwhelmed him.
Just like that human boy said—Yamamoto had become too confident after being undefeated for a thousand years. That arrogance gave Aizen the opening he needed.
If only he had been more cautious… none of this would have happened.
Shunsui turned to Ukitake and gave a bitter smile. "There's no choice now… we need to contact the Zero Division."
The Captain-Commander was down.
He was losing.
Almost every lieutenant was seriously injured.
Things couldn't get any worse—and they had no hope of beating Aizen like this.
"Zero Division…?" Ukitake hesitated.
When they came to the Human World, they never even considered the possibility of losing. So they hadn't informed the Royal Guard.
But now, leaving to call them would mean giving Aizen control of Karakura Town.
And that would cost 100,000 souls.
None of them knew that the nine tailed beasts weren't enemies—they were actually Nanaya's allies.
They hadn't seen Nanaya's Hollow form. But one person had—Sui-Feng.
She looked up at the beasts tearing through the sky. Her sharp eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly shouted:
"Everyone, those Arrancar—those Hollows—they're not the enemy! They're part of Nanaya. He's come to help us!"
The Shinigami immediately lit up.
"Nanaya? That human, Takai?!"
"Awesome! That guy might be human, but he's basically a monster."
"Even the Captain-Commander's Bankai couldn't stop him… If he's on our side, we've still got a chance!"
"He went to Hueco Mundo—could those be his prisoners?!"
The mood shifted in an instant.
After all the crushing defeats they'd suffered, the Shinigami had fallen into despair.
But now, there was a glimmer of hope.
"Vasto Lorde…?" Aizen Sōsuke paused mid-action. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the nine tailed beasts, curiosity flashing in his gaze.
"These Menos Grande… I've never seen this kind before. Each one has different abilities… interesting."
Without much emotion, he lifted his right hand and aimed it at the beasts.
"Fiery Lightning Howl."
He skipped most of the incantation—almost 90% of it—but even so, a terrifying bolt of golden lightning crackled into existence.
One of the beasts, the Three-Tails Isobu, let out a deep roar and charged forward to intercept the attack.
Spinning in midair, he used the spiked shell on his back to block the lightning.
"Boom!"
The lightning slammed into the tortoise shell, but only left a half-meter-long crack.
A second later—
The nine tailed beasts roared in fury. At the same time, they opened their mouths and gathered a huge amount of spiritual energy, launching their strongest combined attack.
Nine massive black energy spheres began to form.
When the buildup reached its peak, all nine Tailed Beast Bombs shot straight at Aizen Sōsuke.
BOOM!
The blast from the nine tailed beast cannons exploded all at once. The shockwave and explosion range covered nearly all the nearby streets.
But as the dust began to settle, everyone's eyes turned to the center of the blast.
Because this devastating attack didn't care who was friend or foe.
Through the smoke, the charred and burned Yamamoto Genryūsai staggered to his feet. Gritting his teeth, he growled:
"You brat… are you trying to kill me too!?"
If he hadn't reacted in time, he wouldn't have died at Aizen's hands—but almost from the tailed beasts' blast instead.
From behind the nine tailed beasts came a calm, familiar voice:
"Old man, stop pretending you're fine."
In full view of everyone, Nanaya stepped out of a swirling black portal.
Behind him, the Gedo Statue loomed larger and more terrifying than before. It towered into the sky, casting a massive shadow over the battlefield.
Golden chains shot out from the Gedo Statue, wrapping tightly around the nine tailed beasts—sealing and restraining them like prisoners.
Nanaya glanced around at the battlefield and clicked his tongue in irritation.
"Before anything else, old man, can someone explain how things got this bad?"
"All the captains are injured, the lieutenants are half-dead... This is way worse than I expected."
In the original timeline, the Shinigami were supposed to be winning. Almost all the Menos Grande were wiped out—only Aizen and a few remained.
But now?
Every Shinigami was injured and barely standing. It was a complete reversal.
Hearing Nanaya's blunt criticism, old man Yamamoto—who had just survived the blast and was already in a pitiful state—was so angry he coughed up blood.
He wasn't just burned.
He had been stabbed—twice—right in the heart.
His mouth twitched, but he couldn't respond.
It was humiliating.
The strongest Shinigami in over a thousand years, brought low by his own carelessness—and now even getting scolded by a human.
"A human!?"
Baraggan, watching nearby, was stunned.
He never imagined that a mere human's spiritual pressure could actually make him—the former King of Hueco Mundo—feel threatened.
Enough. I'll end this now.
With a cold snort, Baraggan kicked off the ground and charged straight at Nanaya.
"You're wasting my time, human!"
Dark energy swirled around his blade as he slashed at Nanaya's body.
One clean strike was all it would take.
Anything it touched would instantly age and rot into death.
But Nanaya was already ready. His Rinnegan eyes glowed—and an overwhelming repulsive force burst from his hand.
He spoke coldly:
"The king of Hueco Mundo dares talk big in front of me?"
A crushing wave of invisible force exploded outward from Nanaya's body, expanding in all directions.
The moment it hit, Baraggan's expression changed completely. His skeletal body trembled.
Then—
Boom!!
He was blasted backward and smashed hard into the ground.
The earth shook violently from the impact.
Buildings nearby collapsed and shattered into pieces.
Sui-Feng covered her mouth in shock, staring at Nanaya's figure in disbelief.
"No way… that guy is actually..."
