Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: The Four Beasts Block The Gate, Unohana Retsu Stumbles

"What's going on? Isn't this Bakudō No. 96?"

"It's the Four-Beast Barrier. We can't get inside."

"That's the Tortoise Shell Gate. It's made of hexagonal crystal panels. Not even someone at Captain level can break through it."

"Wait, aren't only Nanaya and Captain Unohana Retsu in there?"

"Why would they use such a high-level Kidō spell?"

(tln-sorry for the delays had some health issues but i am back)

Outside the warehouse—

Kurosaki Ichigo, Sado Yasutora, Uryū Ishida, Rukia Kuchiki, Yoruichi Shihouin, Nelliel, Harribel...

And also members of the Visoreds and four people from Urahara's shop—all of them were standing outside, staring at the massive barrier with frowns on their faces.

Tessai Tsukabishi shook his head. "The battle inside must've gotten out of control and destroyed the original barrier. That's probably why they switched to this one."

Kurosaki Ichigo asked quickly, "So we really can't break through from the outside?"

"Impossible," Hachigen replied, shaking his head. "This is Bakudō No. 96. The Four-Beast Barrier has four gates—Dragon Tail, Tiger Fang, Tortoise Shell, and Phoenix Wing."

"It's the strongest defensive Kidō there is. You'd need four fighters with Bankai to attack each gate at the same time to break it."

"And besides, we don't know what's happening inside. If we break in recklessly, it could make things worse…"

After hearing this, even Ichigo fell silent, clicking his tongue in frustration as he stared at the huge barrier in front of them.

Bakudō No. 96—powerful enough to withstand an attack from four captains at once.

The fight inside must be intense.

Inside the barrier, Nanaya was blushing with embarrassment as he looked at the person in front of him.

Everyone outside must be worried sick about Orihime being captured. But here he was… doing something like this inside the barrier.

(tln-ayooo)

"I've let you all down…" Nanaya thought, his heart full of guilt.

"Nanaya, look at me," said Unohana Retsu, her eyes hazy and warm.

"Sister Hua, wait! People are outside!" Nanaya said hurriedly, pushing her away and pointing to the outside world, face burning red.

Even though the Four-Beast Barrier was incredibly strong, when used in defense, it acted like a one-way mirror.

From the outside, no one could see in.

But from the inside… everything outside was visible.

Nanaya could clearly see Nel, Harribel, Sui-Feng, Yoruichi...

It was so humiliating.

"I don't care about that," Unohana said with a smile. She reached up, gently tucking her long hair behind her ear. "In fact, it makes things even more exciting."

She looked so quiet, so calm, so elegant…

Nanaya stared at her, speechless. "Sister Hua… you really are a total masochist, aren't you?"

Unohana just smiled sweetly. "Maybe I am. Every time I get hurt… I get even more excited."

Realizing that talking wasn't getting him anywhere, Nanaya gave in and took the lead instead. "Fine then… don't blame me for what happens next."

Two hours later—

Everyone outside was still waiting anxiously when suddenly, the Four-Beast Barrier shattered like glass, breaking into pieces.

They all looked inside.

"Nanaya! You finished your training!" Ichigo called out in surprise.

But then his expression changed as he remembered something. "Oh no—Nanaya, Inoue was captured!"

Then Ichigo stopped mid-sentence and stared at Nanaya, confused.

"Wait… why do you look so tired?"

Nanaya was walking unsteadily, his face pale. He forced a half-smile. "We've been fighting for days… If you were in there, you would've passed out."

Ichigo blinked in realization.

Rukia ran over and grabbed Nanaya's arm to help him. "Are you okay? Do you want to rest?"

Nanaya avoided her gaze, too embarrassed to look at her. "I'm fine… I just need to sleep."

"Huh?"

Rukia looked at him suspiciously. "Why won't you look at me?"

Nanaya suddenly remembered Unohana's face from earlier—how she held her cheeks and whispered:

"Look at me…"

His face flushed bright red again, and he couldn't form a single word.

"What's wrong with you, Nanaya? You're acting weird after just training," Yoruichi said, narrowing her eyes at him.

Sui-Feng, confused at first, suddenly hugged her captain's arm tightly.

"Lady Yoruichi, no matter what happens, I'm just happy to see you safe..."

Yoruichi: "…"

"Did you fail your training, Nanaya?"

Nelliel ran over and hopped onto his shoulder, trying to cheer him up. "Don't feel bad! I know you're amazing. Even if you didn't do great this time, you'll get it next time!"

Harribel frowned slightly. "That's strange. I can sense Menos Grande reiatsu on you… and something else. A sweet scent?"

Nanaya glared at her, face dark. Why do I have to deal with this maid too?

"Nanaya… you're definitely the man I like."

Unohana Retsu appeared, limping as she walked toward them.

Her steps were shaky, but her cheeks were glowing red.

Rukia blinked in confusion. "Captain Unohana? Why are you walking like that? Did you get injured?"

Everyone turned to look.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, Unohana Retsu smiled, looked at Nanaya, and said calmly:

"Yes, I've been hurt quite a bit."

As she said this, she gently rubbed her shoulder.

Nanaya suddenly felt even more guilty.

He remembered… he had bitten her shoulder several times during the fight. There were clear teeth marks, and even some bleeding.

Thankfully, the women nearby were all too innocent to understand what Unohana really meant.

However...

Hirako Shinji, Muguruma Kensei, and a few of the other less serious captains suddenly froze in place, eyes wide, jaws dropping. They stared at Nanaya like they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"Wait a second, you…!"

"Shut up!"

Nanaya shot them a glare filled with killing intent.

"Say one more word, and I'll end you."

As his purple eyes locked onto them, all the captains went stiff and took a sharp breath.

They were stunned.

This human boy… was terrifying.

He had actually tamed the infamous Unohana Retsu.

"Nanaya-kun~!" Unohana, clearly not bothered at all, walked over and cupped Nanaya's face in her hands. Her cheeks were pink, and her voice was gentle and full of affection.

"That was a wonderful fight. Just like I thought—you really are the best man I've ever met. So… can I move into your place from now on?"

"WHAAAAT?!"

Shinji and the others shouted in shock.

Rukia Kuchiki, however, didn't suspect anything. She was used to Captain Unohana being kind and friendly around Nanaya. This didn't seem out of character.

But Yoruichi narrowed her eyes, glanced between the two of them, and mumbled under her breath:

"No way… Are they seriously…?"

Nanaya felt the hairs on his neck stand up. His scalp tingled as he quickly tried to change the subject.

"W-We can talk about that later. I need to rest right now..."

Then he remembered something important.

"Oh—don't worry too much about Inoue. I used a transcription seal on her. If she's ever in danger, I can immediately go and help her."

Everyone let out a sigh of relief.

They all knew about Nanaya's transcription seal—it allowed him to place a special ability into someone's eye, like a kind of magical safety switch.

"Nanaya-kun, let's get you home so you can rest."

Unohana's voice was especially gentle now. She held Nanaya's right arm close and helped support him as they began walking away.

Rukia blinked in surprise and stepped forward quickly. "Captain Unohana, I'll take him—"

She glanced at Nanaya's arm and paused.

It was completely limp.

Before Nanaya could even answer, Unohana replied sweetly:

"No need. I'll handle it. I can also heal him while we walk."

And just like that, Rukia stood there confused, watching the two walk away together.

She couldn't help but ask out loud:

"What's going on...? Did Nanaya actually defeat Captain Unohana? And why is she acting so... soft and gentle!?"
