RAIN POV
The Enchanted Glades.
That was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes. The air shimmered like silver mist, the temple standing tall before me, glowing faintly as though it had been carved from the bones of the moon. My breath caught in my throat.
"What the hell—" I spun around, my heart racing. I was supposed to be in my bed, tangled in Batista's arms. "How did I get back here?"
A voice, soft but sharp as glass, cut through the stillness.
"This is not real. You're in my dream."
I turned and there she was—Seraphina, standing in her pale robes, her face calm, too calm. Her eyes burned like she knew every secret I had ever tried to hide.
I put my hands on my waist, cocking my head with a smirk. "What? You already miss me?"
For the first time, a flicker of a smile touched her lips. "Actually, I came bearing a gift."
I raised a brow. "Gift? The only gift I want is you seeing tomorrow and telling me if we win the damn battle. That's a gift worth unwrapping."
