Batista's POV
It's been one month.
One long, cruel, nightmarish month of being trapped in this cursed forest. A place so twisted, so alive with dark magic, it feels like the ground itself wants to swallow you whole.
I'd heard old stories when I was a kid. Whispers about monsters that live in the shadows, creatures too ugly to have a name. But standing here, I realize those stories were nothing compared to the things I've seen.
The birds here… they aren't birds. At night, their wings stretch out, their feathers fall away, and what's left are creatures with sharp teeth and hollow eyes that follow you wherever you go.
The trees move too. Not from the wind, but with a mind of their own. Their branches reach out like long fingers, and if you aren't careful, they'll wrap around your ankles and drag you down. Bury you alive beneath their twisted roots.
In this place, even the air feels heavy. Everything is alive, watching, waiting.
