~ With Shisui ~

"We have to do this again!"

Meredy's cheerful exclamation rang out across the smouldering ruins of what had once been a Dark Guild hideout. The building was now nothing more than a pile of rubble and dying flames, the combined result of attacks from all four Crime Sorciere members. Around the perimeter of the destruction, unconscious Dark Guild members lay bound and ready for collection by the authorities, those deemed worthy of a second chance spared from the collateral damage that had reduced their headquarters to ash and stone.

"You enjoyed that a little too much." Ultear remarked.

Jellal remained silent, while Shisui chuckled at Meredy's enthusiasm as he raised his hands, forming a single hand seal.

Shadow Clone Jutsu!

A perfect duplicate of Shisui materialized beside him. The clone gave a casual salute to the original before beginning to gather the unconscious Dark Guild members into a more organized arrangement for the Rune Knights to collect.

"The clone will handle the cleanup and provide any necessary testimony. We should leave now before we get spotted and have to answer uncomfortable questions about why you three are here." Shisui explained to his companions.

~ A few hours later ~

Three hours had passed and the members of Crime Sorciere found themselves in a completely different environment, one that would have seemed impossible to predict based on their previous location. Instead of forest paths and smoking ruins, they now stood on pristine sand beside crystal-blue ocean waters, the late afternoon sun warming their faces as gentle waves lapped at the shore.

The transformation from Dark Guild hunters to beachgoers had been Meredy's idea, delivered in a way that made refusal nearly impossible. She'd argued that they needed to celebrate both Shisui's return and the successful completion of his S-rank mission, and what better way to do that than with a few days of relaxation at a beach resort she'd spotted during their travels?

None of them had raised any real objections to her suggestion. Jellal had simply nodded his agreement. Ultear had been more sceptical, but even she couldn't deny the appeal of genuine downtime after what they had gone through. As for Shisui, he'd found himself curious about the experience of visiting a beach.

The resort itself was modest but well-maintained, catering to travellers who wanted peaceful surroundings without excessive luxury. Their rooms overlooked the ocean, and the secluded stretch of beach they'd walked to was far enough from the main areas to allow for conversations that wouldn't be overheard by curious ears.

Shisui stood at the water's edge, his usual dark clothing replaced by simple beach attire. His feet were bare, toes digging into the warm sand as he watched waves roll in with hypnotic regularity. There was something peaceful about the rhythm of the ocean, something that spoke to a part of him that had rarely been allowed to simply exist without purpose or urgency.

"You know, I've never really been able to enjoy the beach for what it was." He said suddenly.

The confession came as no surprise to his companions.

Meredy, who had been building what appeared to be an elaborate sandcastle, looked up with a mischievous grin. "Neither have any of us, genius. You're not special just because you've never had a beach vacation before."

Her teasing tone carried genuine affection, but Shisui still felt compelled to defend himself against what felt like a personal attack.

"I just thought I should say it out loud…" He protested, pouting slightly as he kicked a smooth rock that had been half-buried in the sand. The stone skipped across the water's surface multiple times before finally sinking below the waves. "There was no need to attack me personally like that. It's not like I even wanted to be special or anything."

Ultear watched the exchange with amusement, recognizing the dynamic that had developed between Shisui and Meredy. They bickered like siblings, each knowing exactly which buttons to push to get a reaction from the other, but the underlying affection was always obvious to anyone paying attention.

"Meredy, stop teasing him." Ultear finally intervened, though her tone suggested she was enjoying the banter as much as anyone else. "He's allowed to share his thoughts without—"

"Shisui-san, is that you?"

The voice that called out to them came from further up the beach, interrupting Ultear mid-sentence and causing all four Crime Sorciere members to turn toward its source. What they saw was both unexpected and somewhat concerning, given their current circumstances and the identities they were supposed to be keeping secret.

Three figures approached them across the sand, their beach attire doing nothing to disguise the distinctive silver hair that marked them as members of one of Fairy Tail's most prominent families. Mirajane Strauss led the group, while behind her walked Elfman and Lisanna, both looking curious but unaware of the potential complications their encounter might create.

Shisui felt a familiar knot form in his stomach as he realized the delicate nature of the situation. When Ultear turned to face the approaching Strauss siblings, Shisui could practically feel the tension radiating from Mira. The transformation was subtle but unmistakable.

"Mirajane—" Shisui began, hoping to defuse the situation before it could escalate into something more serious.

"I know who she is," Mira cut him off, her voice remaining calm despite the edge that had crept into her tone. "And I also know what she's done. Max told us everything about them when we asked about you while you were still missing."

The words hung in the air like a challenge, though Mira's posture didn't suggest she was preparing for battle. This was acknowledgment rather than accusation, a statement of facts that couldn't be ignored or wished away. The history between Fairy Tail and Grimoire Heart couldn't be erased, and Ultear's role in that conflict was part of the record that separated them.

Shisui opened his mouth to respond, but before he could speak, something happened that surprised everyone present.

Both Ultear and Meredy stepped forward and bowed deeply, their backs bent at perfect ninety-degree angles in a gesture of respect and contrition. The movement was clearly genuine, carrying none of the manipulation that might have been expected from former dark guild members seeking to deceive their way out of trouble.

"We offer our deepest and most sincere apologies for the attack on Fairy Tail and Tenrou Island. We understand that our past actions caused pain and suffering to people who didn't deserve it, and we don't expect forgiveness." Ultear said.

Meredy's voice joined hers, equally sincere and filled with genuine remorse. "We're trying to change, to become better than we were. All we ask is a chance to prove that we can be different, that we can use our power to help instead of hurt."

The sight of the two women maintaining their bows while offering such heartfelt apologies clearly affected all three Strauss siblings. Mira's expression shifted from wariness to surprise, then to something approaching discomfort as she processed the unexpected display of humility and regret.

"Please, raise your heads," She said quickly, clearly uncomfortable with being on the receiving end of such a formal and respectful gesture. "I... I appreciate your honesty, and I can see that you're sincere."

She paused, studying both women as they straightened but kept their eyes downcast in continued deference.

"I'll give you a second chance. But understand that it's only one chance. If you do anything to break the trust you're asking for, if you hurt anyone I care about or betray the faith being placed in you, then I will be the one to stop you." She said in finality.

Her words weren't delivered as a threat but as a simple promise. Mira's power was well known, and her commitment to protecting her family and guild was absolute. But there was also hope in her words, an acknowledgment that people could change and that redemption was possible for those willing to earn it.

"Thank you. We won't waste this opportunity." Ultear said quietly.

Meredy nodded emphatically, relief gathering in her eyes. "We promise to prove ourselves worthy of your trust."

The tension that had filled the air began to dissipate, though it was not erased completely. Until…

"Manly…"

Elfman's sudden comment broke through the serious atmosphere, his deep voice carrying obvious approval for the display of honour and accountability he'd just witnessed. The timing was so perfect, so completely unexpected, that it shattered the remaining tension entirely.

Lisanna burst into laughter at her brother's perfect timing, the sound infectious as it carried across the beach. Even Shisui couldn't help but shake his head with amusement, grateful for the interruption that had transformed a potentially difficult situation into something more manageable.

"Well said, Elf-nii." Lisanna managed between giggles.

With the ice broken, Shisui stepped forward, extending his hand toward both Elfman and Lisanna with a genuine smile. "I don't think we've been properly introduced. I'm Shisui, I joined Fairy Tail during the whole 7 years thing."

Elfman grasped his hand in a grip that could have crushed stone. "Elfman Strauss! It's great to finally meet the guy who kept our guild together while we were gone!"

Lisanna's handshake was gentler but no less warm. "Lisanna Strauss. We've heard so many stories about you from the others. Thank you for taking care of everyone."

The introductions felt natural despite the circumstances. Shisui had met Mira when he returned to the guild, but her siblings had been away on a training expedition that was supposed to last several more weeks.

Lisanna's expression grew slightly embarrassed as she scratched the back of her head, her smile becoming more sheepish. "About that training trip..."

She went on to explain how the group they'd been traveling with had encountered an emergency that required immediate attention in the Celestial Spirit realm. The situation had been urgent enough that one of Lucy's Celestial Spirit had opened a gate for the entire team to pass through without giving them the time to prepare, but Elfman and Lisanna had been standing just outside the summoning circle when the portal activated, leaving them stranded while their companions disappeared into another dimension.

"So, we were stuck and Elfnii here thought he could handle training by himself while we waited for everyone to come back." Lisanna continued.

Mira's expression took on the particular look of exasperation that older siblings reserved for younger ones who'd gotten themselves into predictable trouble. "What she's not telling you is that Elfman quickly realized solo training wasn't as easy as he'd expected. After you left for your S-rank mission, I received a request for help from a certain muscle-bound brother who was too proud to admit he needed supervision."

Throughout this explanation, Elfman laughed nervously, his face flushing with embarrassment at being so thoroughly exposed by his sisters.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time." He protested weakly.

"Which is why we're all here at the beach. Training and relaxation, combined into one trip." Mira concluded with obvious amusement.

Shisui nodded his understanding, filing away the information about his guild mates' current activities.

"Speaking of trips, what about you? What are you doing here? Aren't you in the middle of the S-rank Dark Guild elimination mission?" Mira asked curiously.

A grin found its way onto Shisui's lips as he gave a thumbs up. "I'm happy to report that my S-rank mission has been completed successfully. All the dark guilds responsible for the attack on Fairy Tail have been brought to justice. We're only here at the beach because we wanted to catch up on lost time, you know?"

The news brought immediate smiles to all three Strauss siblings, though Mira's gaze drifted meaningfully toward Ultear, Meredy, and Jellal before returning to Shisui with a teasing expression.

"So the people you wanted to catch up with during your 'vacation' are two wanted criminals and one fugitive?" She asked, her tone light enough to make it clear she was joking rather than accusing.

The members of Crime Sorciere had at least enough self-awareness to look ashamed at being so accurately described, even in jest. But Mira's soft chuckle reassured them that her teasing was good-natured rather than malicious.

"I'm only joking. Everyone deserves a chance to relax, especially after completing such important work." She said genuinely.

The conversation continued for several more minutes, covering lighter topics and allowing everyone to become more comfortable with the unexpected encounter. But as the sun began to sink lower toward the horizon, Ultear spoke up with a question that would change everything.

"Lisanna-san, I wanted to confirm something you mentioned earlier about Fairy Tail mages going to the Celestial Spirit realm." She spoke.

"That's right. Lucy's Celestial Spirit, Virgo, had opened a gate for Natsu, Gray, Erza, Juvia, Wendy, and their exceeds to go help with some kind of emergency. Why do you ask?" Lisanna confirmed.

Ultear's expression grew serious, her knowledge of magical theory and dimensional realms suddenly becoming terrifyingly relevant. "Did they know that time flows differently between realms? It's rumoured that one day in the Celestial Spirit realm equals three months in our world."

The effect of her words was immediate and devastating as Lisanna's eyes widened with shock, Elfman's face went pale, and Mirajane's composed expression crumbled entirely.

Even Shisui felt his stomach drop as he processed the information. If Ultear was correct, and time moved that much faster in the Celestial Spirit realm, then what had seemed like a brief emergency mission could actually translate to months or even years of separation from their friends.

"Say that again?" Shisui asked, his voice carrying a note of comedic disbelief that did nothing to hide his genuine concern for his guild mates' welfare.

So a few things changed here. 1, instead of Team Shadowgear, it is Elfman and Lisanna that joined Team Natsu for the beach training camp. As you can remember, Jet and Droy never slacked in this fanfic, and were both part of the old team fairy tail, who are strong enough to stand on their own or as a team. Also, Jet and Droy were in that training fight with Laxus, so it'd make no sense having them suddenly with Team Natsu at the beach. Another thing, I always found it weird how Crime Sorciere knew the EXACT time that Team Natsu would reappear on Earthland .-. Like the anime made it seem like Team Natsu returned at 5pm Saturday, and then by noon Sunday Crime Sorciere already knows where they are, is somehow already at the same place, and is able to reach out to them .-. Idk, maybe more then a few days passed or smtg .-. But for this fanfic, just to scratch that itch, I'm making it so that when Team Natsu returns, Mira will then contact Shisui and then that's when Shisui will ask if Ultear can help them out.
