Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: The Destroyer

"Oh God, we've been robbed. Oh God, oh God, oh God—no, no, no, all my data is gone!" The laptop and hard drive were all taken.

"Damn it! Who did this?"

Jane was furious, looking at the wrecked research lab, her eyes nearly shooting flames.

Daisy, seeing through the chaos, said sharply, "It must be those S.H.I.E.L.D. guys. They think just because they're a secret organization, they can ignore the law. The U.S. will be ruined by them sooner or later."

Jane agreed, "I have to get the data back."

"It's no use. They won't cooperate," Liu A'dou appeared. "Thor, you're awake?"

Thor rubbed his head, still feeling dizzy. "What happened to me?"

"You were drunk."

"Impossible, how could I get drunk?"

"Liu, do you know where the data is?" Jane interrupted the conversation between the men.

"It was taken by S.H.I.E.L.D., but they won't give it back. If you go, you'll just end up in a cell," Liu A'dou said. "It's better not to go."

"Ahhhhhh—!" Jane screamed in frustration, venting her anger.

Thor found Jane's meltdown kind of cute.

Meanwhile, things were not looking good in the Pantheon either. Odin had entered his charging slumber, leaving Loki without any restraint. Odin, already an old god, needed to sleep for a few days every year.

Loki, knowing his true identity, also realized he still couldn't summon Thor's hammer. As long as Thor was alive, Loki could never gain Odin's full approval.

"Destroyer, I want you to find Thor and destroy everything."

The Destroyer armor, made by Odin to deal with dark enemies in the universe, was a long-range suit. Odin wasn't just the king of the gods or a brave warrior, he was also an incredibly knowledgeable scholar. According to mythology, Odin even sacrificed his own eye to gain wisdom from the well of wisdom, showing his thirst for knowledge. He was also a skilled inventor, having designed many of the Pantheon's facilities.

This Destroyer armor was powerful, capable of firing high-energy yellow beams that could melt anything in its path.

Bang, "Loki, you're really someone who gets things done, even willing to harm your own brother who's been with you all your life."

"Trax, you'll never understand me," Loki said.

Trax gave a slight smile, thinking to himself, I do understand you, weak evil god. But it's exactly because Loki is weak that he has value: "The Frost Giants are ready, they can come in anytime."

"Very well!" Loki's plan was to let in a small number of Frost Giants into the Pantheon, defeat them, and prove that he was no worse than Thor.

However, Trax had his own plan and smiled wickedly.

Before the Destroyer was deployed, Thor's four friends noticed something was off. During Odin's slumber, Loki had declared himself king and issued royal commands. Although he used Odin's name, Odin never called for war. They realized that Loki might be planning a rebellion, so they had to find Thor.

Thus, the four of them used the Bifrost and arrived on Earth ahead of Loki's assassination attempt.

The four, dressed in bizarre cosplay outfits, immediately caught the attention of people in the town. However, they walked proudly and were completely unfazed, even a little smug, heads held high with smiles on their faces.

They could feel Thor ahead, and indeed, they saw him through the glass, casually dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, eating.

"My old friend!" They had known each other for hundreds of years and had maintained their friendship for just as long.

"Friends!!" Thor was surprised to see them. "What are you doing here?"

They quickly explained Loki's actions. "We need you to return."

"No, Father wants me to accept punishment."

"Ah, forget it." A short, stocky warrior spoke up. "Thor, stop playing the punishment game. Grab your hammer and come back with us. There are more important matters at hand."

But Thor looked at Jane. He felt a connection to her because he knew it was she who had taken care of him the night before. Jane also had feelings for the handsome Thor.

"Thor, hurry, what are you hesitating for?"

Liu A'dou, watching the strange group, thought to himself, indeed, everyone from the Pantheon was a bit of a character. Then he noticed Thor suddenly look at him. It seemed that his wisdom had been acknowledged by Thor. Could Thor really be considering him as a strategist?

"Thor, you can now lift the hammer. No need to hesitate. Do what you think is right. You are Thor, the God of Thunder."

Liu A'dou's words enlightened Thor. Of course, he was Thor, the God of Thunder, he could do this. However, he still didn't immediately summon his hammer. Liu A'dou couldn't tell what Thor was thinking. He only noticed that Thor's wandering gaze was constantly fixed on Jane, the kind girl who had clearly made a place for herself in Thor's heart.

Sure enough, the second beam of light carrying the Destroyer arrived on Earth. Its goal was to destroy Thor. No matter where Thor hid, it would find him.

S.H.I.E.L.D. agents tracked the metallic mummy-like figure wrapped in silver narrow metal sheets to the town.

The Destroyer and Thor encountered each other. The Destroyer didn't speak and immediately launched an attack.

Liu A'dou, seeing the two-meter-tall metallic lump, couldn't help but remark, "Such high-tech stuff from the Pantheon. No wonder it can be one of the guardians of the Nine Realms; it would be impossible without some serious power."

As the steel mask was removed, the hollow interior gathered vast amounts of energy, which was then fired through the open face, unleashing a massive yellow high-temperature beam that could destroy everything it touched.

Similar to Ripple, it was solar-like energy.

It swept over the ground, cutting through buildings. The yellow energy destroyed everything in its path. The warriors scattered, rushing towards the enemy. They were well-trained, but without artifacts, they were no match.

The clattering sound of attacks against the Destroyer echoed, but none could break its defenses.

The Destroyer swung its hand with the force of a thousand pounds, sending the warriors flying. The Destroyer was a powerful suit made for fighting dark entities in the universe.

"It's useless. Our attacks are too weak," one of the warriors said.

"Not necessarily!" The only female warrior, Sif, came up behind the Destroyer. Using the front of a car as leverage, she stomped hard, propelling herself into the air. Her sharp spear aimed directly at the joint of the Destroyer's iron pieces.

Thrust! The strike pierced deeply.

"There's always a weak point!" Sif knelt on the Destroyer's back, revealing a victorious smile.

But it was too soon. The Destroyer only paused for a few seconds before rebooting. Its iron pieces rotated, turning its back into its front, and Sif was completely exposed to the Destroyer's cannon.

"Sif??!" Everyone shouted in horror.

Thor couldn't allow his friend to be killed, so he stepped forward, trying to stop his brother's slaughter. "Loki, enough! Your target is me, don't hurt the innocent..." But before he could finish, he was shocked to see Liu A'dou charging ahead.

"You'll like this." Liu A'dou flipped, locking his legs around the Destroyer's neck and hanging upside down. Then he threw a punch with the Rozan Shō Ryū Ha. Saving Diana was more urgent; there was no time to watch Thor show off, so Liu A'dou had to take over Thor's role.

The Rozan Shō Ryū Ha represented Liu A'dou's sense of justice, while the Genrouken represented Kaitou Kid's mystery. The righteous punch was solid and carried the destructive power of atoms, penetrating the metal back.

Then, everyone watched as a massive dragon erupted from the Destroyer's face, so huge it shattered the Destroyer's face and exploded its entire head.

Not only that, the power of the Microcosmos surged inside the Destroyer, consuming its iron body.

The chest where Sif had been first collapsed, and soon the Destroyer's limbs turned into debris, falling to the ground. The others stared in disbelief at Liu A'dou. How could an armor that made the heroic warriors look weak be defeated like this? This was unscientific.

"Liu, you?" Thor, who thought Liu A'dou was just an ordinary human, was astonished by his strength. "How is this possible?"

"There's nothing impossible about it. Hurry up and summon your hammer."

Thor thought for a moment, realizing Liu A'dou was right. Time was of the essence. He raised his hand and began calling for his weapon in his mind. He could feel the hammer calling to him as well.

"Come, Mjölnir—"

A cloud streaked across the sky, leaving a vertical trail that marked Mjölnir's arrival.

The hammer soared through the air, landing in Thor's hand. Dark clouds gathered with lightning, and the golden armor wrapped itself around his skin. Thor's mark strengthened the mortal body.

"Ahhh!" Thor's godly power returned, and he threw his head back in a triumphant roar, his voice echoing across the heavens and earth.

"Oh my God." Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. watched this scene in shock, his worldview upturned, and everyone else felt the same.

Thor, now clad in his red cloak, had completely changed his aura.

"Is this the real you?" Jane cautiously approached and poked Thor's battle armor.

Thor pulled Jane into a tight embrace. "Yes."

Phil stepped forward, "I never expected a god to descend. On behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D., I greet you." He was cautious, still nervous around Thor, whose reputation was too powerful to treat lightly.

"If you return what was stolen and allow them to continue their research, I think we could be friends," Thor said.

"Of course," Phil promised.

"Jane, let's go on a flight." Twirling his hammer, Thor lifted Jane off the ground, flying off into the sky, leaving the others behind to drive away sadly.
