"I hid most of your skills and only showed this."
"Are you reading my mind or something?"
Demeter chuckled, "Silly, your thoughts were written all over your face, darling."
Well, what do I expect from someone who I couldn't see through.
"By the way, darling, what is your plan? Are you going to live here or outside?"
"Outside."
"Give me your address later once you've settled down. How about farming, are you going independent or joining us?" Demeter.
"Independent."
"Ok, take the house opposite where the manor's gate is."
"Are you reading my mind or what? You always seem to know what I'm thinking."
Demeter chuckled, "I'm not reading your mind, it just I could read you like a book even though no one could except us."
We spent our time in that room chatting, knowing each other more.
We talked about our favorites and hobbies, played some board games, shared techniques in farming, what plants we liked to grow, what genre of novels we liked, and more.
I learned many things about her—about Demeter. She loves all kinds of food as long as it's homemade. Her favorite colors are green and gold. Her favorite dress was the one she was wearing now; in fact, most of her clothes were like this one. She loves quiet places and plants wheat and vegetable crops that can be eaten. Her favorite one was wheat.
Without noticing, we talked until midnight and fell asleep in each other's arms.
Early in the morning.
Demeter used magic, created wood, and made a campfire.
Demeter and I were still inside the room—the room she called small. A "small" room that could hold countless all of existence with ease and still have unimaginably boundless space left. Its scale was beyond ??? entirely, endlessly so.
The room was a flat world of endless ocean, its surface 90 percent water and the rest land. The unfathomably vast sky had only the red star and floating islands.
There were life forms both on the land, in the ocean, and in the sky.
Demeter hummed a beautiful melody while doing her work, while I went to the sea to fish.
In the deep ocean, kilometers away from the island and hundreds of meters below, I saw an endless abyss. I saw nothing but darkness. I stretched my senses and didn't reach the bottom, even with help from my friend. Its depths were beyond ??? entirely, endlessly so—it was technically bottomless at this point.
I was curious to explore, but I didn't act on it because of its dangers. I sensed unfathomably massive and powerful creatures swimming deep within. They weren't aggressive, but I didn't want to risk it.
I turned around and swam back, fishing in the shallow areas.
Four hundred meters away from the island, two hundred meters deep in the ocean.
A kilometer away from the island, this was the only area of the ocean that was shallow. The deepest part in this area was three hundred meters, while beyond it was the cliff to the bottomless abyss.
The fishes in this shallow water were numerous and harmless. Corals and seaweeds blanketed the seabed.
Corals looked like flowers, seabed leaves were square, and even edible fruits grew shaped like fish.
Crabs crawled between the gaps and on top of the coral reefs. Turtles swam with gentle grace. Sharks passed by, ignoring me. There was even a fish as large as a bus, and an eel as large as a car but with a length of octillions of miles stretching into the distance. Its glowing fins created a long line of light in the ocean. It was harmless, but its meat was poisonous.
Jellyfish floated as large as houses. Octopuses as large as skyscrapers, and squids larger than the largest ships on Earth.
Small squids, smaller than bullets, swam like bullets underwater.
I swam around enjoying the scenery, and when I was satisfied, I went and chased a large squid.
With a single strike of my spear, the squid died painlessly, turning white, its life draining away.
I cut and processed the squid right after, doing it under the ocean.
I summoned a red door and let it swallow the squid.
The door shut and vanished.
The discarded remains of the squid attracted fish and sharks. In a few minutes, they crowded the remains, leaving nothing but clean water.
I resurfaced after a few minutes of diving.
"How's the catch?" Demeter said sweetly.
"It's good, I caught a squid. Here." I summoned the red door that swallowed the squid and grabbed some of it, around 300 kilos.
I gave it to Demeter, who excitedly cooked it.
After a few minutes, a lavish breakfast was ready on the table, oozing delicious and tantalizing aroma.
"Let's eat." Demeter.
Demeter ate with elegance befitting of a goddess, while I ate like a hungry dog, devouring everything without care.
Afterward, Demeter washed the dishes on the shore while I bundled and disposed of what remained. They were all food anyway, so I just dumped it in the ocean, feeding the fish, which they loved.
After cleaning up, we went back to the sofa, gazing at the sky, waiting for the sun outside to rise.
Even though the sun in this room was up, the sun outside wasn't—it was still early morning.
"What's your plan for today?" Demeter asked gently while caressing my hair.
I lay on her lap, enjoying her soft and full thighs.
"Heading to the Guild to register, then buying land and building my farm."
"Don't forget to visit, darling." Demeter.
"I will."
Silence fell. We both enjoyed our time with each other for a while before deciding to leave.
With a flick of Demeter's fingers, I was teleported outside, beyond the Wheat Manor's domain. I found myself back at the front gate.
The two guards standing there were startled. It was still early in the morning, and the sun had just peeked over the horizon.
The streets were empty. No one saw me appear out of nowhere except for these two guards.
I made a shushing gesture, telling them to keep quiet.
They both nodded.
I left, heading toward the Guild.
