The sealed jar, inscribed with sealing techniques, shattered, releasing an overwhelming surge of chakra that radiated a menacing, terrifying aura.
A faint yellow mist swirled around the jar, and as it completely broke apart, a deafening roar echoed through the heavens.
A blinding white light flashed, and a colossal creature, dozens of meters tall, materialized before Tengen.
The beast's body appeared to be cloaked in sand, resembling an enormous tanuki with purple patterns etched across its surface.
"Shukaku, the One-Tail." Tengen murmured, a suspicion forming in his mind.
At the same moment, a new system mission triggered: defeat Shukaku to obtain half of a high-definition Dragon Ball video.
"This is going to be quite a challenge." Tengen said, a faint smile playing on his lips as he eyed the massive Shukaku.
"I'm free! I'm free!" Shukaku bellowed, its voice a cathartic release. Since becoming a Tailed Beast bound to a Jinchūriki, it had lost its freedom. Few could coexist harmoniously with a Tailed Beast, like Killer B with the Eight-Tails, Gyūki, a rare exception.
Shukaku's frustration had only grown since the death of its first Jinchūriki, Bunpuku, when it was sealed away without even someone to speak to.
It could only sleep, and sleep, and sleep, nearly driven to madness.
Now unleashed, Shukaku vented its pent-up rage, but it quickly realized it was still confined.
"Where am I?" Shukaku's massive paw slammed against the barrier, which rippled like water before stabilizing.
"Wind Release: Air Bullet!" Shukaku's mouth parted slightly, forming a massive sphere of wind-natured chakra that blasted into the barrier.
To its dismay, the barrier held firm.
"Tailed Beast Ball!" A dark, ominous light gathered at Shukaku's mouth as it prepared to unleash its signature attack.
Emerging from one seal only to find itself trapped again, Shukaku's fury was boundless, especially toward the Suna-nins around it, the culprits of its imprisonment.
"Shukaku, don't waste your energy. This barrier is incredibly strong, and your chakra only reinforces it." Rasa said calmly.
"Who are you?" Shukaku's enormous eyes fixed on Rasa, glaring down with intense pressure.
"I am the Fourth Kazekage." Rasa replied evenly.
"Fourth Kazekage? You did this? I'll kill you!" Shukaku's paw swiped toward Rasa, only to be stopped by the barrier, unable to harm him outside.
Given that Rasa was the Fourth Kazekage and Shukaku was here, it was clear he had unsealed it only to trap it within this mysterious barrier.
"I'll kill you!" Shukaku began forming another Tailed Beast Ball.
"You're wasting your strength. To break this barrier, you'd need to gravely injure yourself or be resealed." Rasa said. "Your chakra fuels this barrier's strength."
"What do you want?" Shukaku calmed slightly, realizing Rasa had a purpose for speaking to it. There had to be a reason for this trap.
"Nothing much. There's another person in this barrier. Just kill him." Rasa said, pointing to a small figure in Shukaku's eyes, Tengen.
"Why's there another person here?" Shukaku asked, eyeing Tengen curiously.
"Maybe my presence is just too subtle." Tengen said with a shrug, showing no fear of Shukaku.
"I don't know how you crossed the Kazekage, but if I'm to kill you, you're just unlucky." Shukaku said, focusing on Tengen.
"You don't have to listen to the Kazekage." Tengen suggested.
"If I don't, I'm stuck here, and that's no fun." Shukaku replied. "If you've got another way, I'm listening."
Shukaku's eyes gleamed with anticipation. If Tengen had a way to break the barrier, that would be ideal.
"Oh, I actually do have a way." Tengen said, causing Rasa's heart to skip a beat. Could there really be a way to break this barrier?
But Tengen's next words reassured Rasa, this Konoha-nin was likely bluffing.
"A way?" Shukaku roared. "Tell me, or I'll kill you!"
"Oh, being threatened like that, I forgot." Tengen said, feigning fear and hurt.
"Kid, are you mocking me?" Shukaku roared furiously.
"Of course not. I just want to test the One-Tail's strength. You should know I've faced the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails." Tengen said with a smile.
"Go die!" Shukaku ignored Rasa's orders and lunged forward, attacking Tengen directly.
In its free state, detached from a Jinchūriki, Shukaku was far stronger than most hosts, unless they achieved perfect synergy, like Killer B.
Boom! Shukaku's massive paw slammed into the ground, cracking the earth and leaving a deep crater.
"Is he dead?" Shukaku lifted its paw, finding no body beneath. Had Tengen been pulverized?
"I'm over here." Tengen said calmly, having dodged with his incredible speed during Shukaku's attack.
"This time, you're dead!" Shukaku pounced again.
"Let's test your strength first." Tengen said, his skin radiating powerful chakra.
"Gate of Opening, Gate of Healing, Gate of Life, Gate of Pain, Gate of Limit… Gate of View, open!"
The six gates unleashed, green energy enveloping Tengen's body.
"Armament Haki: Morning Peacock!"
