"Hey… Claude…" Sean nudged him gently. The Epsilon then whispered, "Does Mrs Roth know about us? At the very least, about you?"
"She kinda figured it out because of my mom." Claude smiled a little under his sigh. "Then, Eugene got infected. We couldn't keep her in the dark anymore, especially when Eugene almost turned into one of us. She doesn't spread it around, though."
"The pack had always told us that humans hated our existence. We should never reveal it to any human at all costs." Sean scratched his head. "It makes me feel strange."
"You can say we just got lucky. Mom, Grandpa, and I are just lucky." Claude looked at Eugene's back, catching how the guy pinched his sister's nose. "Eugene and his mother are kind humans. It could have gone way worse that night."
Sean nodded and kept to himself. It was good that someone else was still lucky.
