It casually swung its paw forward, the claws sweeping across, and two rats that leaped over were instantly swatted away.
Several bloody marks appeared on their bodies, and after a few whimpers of agony, they made no more sound.
But more rats attacked from both sides.
On the back of the giant wolf, a rider swept through with a curved blade.
In an instant, a pile of corpses flew out.
Yet in the face of the overwhelming number of rats, even as the rider and his mount fought in coordination, constantly clearing the rats blocking their way.
They still saw no hope of breaking through.
