Langton is a coastal city.
Although it is difficult to feel this point while living in Langton City, the downstream of the river that passes through the city is the estuary, and if you follow the river all the way down, you can indeed steer a ship into the sea.
In fact, the past prosperity of Langton City, and even the founding monarch of Victory choosing to establish the capital here, was largely due to the convenient river, making sea trade with other countries of the old world easy.
Langton City used to be one of the most developed cities in Victory's shipbuilding industry. But later, with Victory's development, the Royal Shipyard was set up in Puse City, and Langton's shipbuilding industry gradually declined.
Nowadays, it is almost impossible to recognize the estuary of Langton as it once was, with solid embankments on both sides and buildings everywhere.
If not for seeing the sea at the edge of the embankment, perhaps no one would think that Langton is truly a coastal city.
