"The Potara fusion form is called Kefla, but their dance fusion as Kariel is a whole different beast. How amusing," Li Xu thought to himself with a subtle smile.
"Li Yi, you're about to see just how strong I've become!" Kariel snorted confidently, her arms crossed and her aura flaring with electric sparks.
"Hmph, I'm not the least bit afraid of you!" Li Yi replied, his golden hair gleaming, his Super Saiyan aura burning steadily around him.
Boom! Boom!
Both warriors launched from the ground at the exact same moment, their feet cracking the surface beneath them as they clashed in mid-air.
BANG!
Their fists collided head-on, producing a shockwave that blasted outward like a dome of force. Everyone Li Xu, Gabe, Bulla, and the others were pushed back slightly by the resulting pressure.
"Haha! I'm gonna wipe the floor with you, Li Yi!" Kariel laughed confidently, though she realized their initial clash ended in a draw.
"Tch, I'm not so easy to beat!" Li Yi answered sharply, holding his stance.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
In an instant, both vanished from sight, their forms blurring with speed. A series of rapid-fire collisions erupted in the sky above. The sheer velocity of their movement created white sonic ripples that spread out in all directions. Their fists struck faster than most could track.
"They're insanely powerful!" Gabe gasped, completely stunned. Even in his Super Saiyan state, this battle far exceeded anything he could comprehend.
"The difference in combat power is clear," Li Xu thought to himself. "But fusion gives them an edge in coordination and efficiency."
He silently calculated: Fusion using the Fusion Dance multiplies the average of two warriors' base powers by approximately 10 times, while Potara fusion has a similar multiplier but differs in flexibility. If the base powers are equal, both methods are effective. But if they're unequal, the weaker fighter drags down the result.
In this case, Caulifla's base power was 6 million, Kale's was 10 million. With the dance fusion, the average is 8 million, multiplied by 10 equals 80 million. But if fusion had been performed with synchronization of ki at Kale's suppressed level, the result could stretch to 120 million. By Potara, it might've peaked at 160 million, if power sync was done perfectly.
But Li Yi's base power was a monstrous 300 million, having surpassed most known Super Saiyan levels without even using higher transformations like Super Saiyan 2 or 3.

A massive punch from Li Yi landed squarely on Kariel's abdomen. Her body bent inward from the impact before being launched backward like a meteor, crashing into the earth and carving a trench into the rocky terrain.
"Urgh… Damn it!" Kariel growled, coughing from the dust cloud. She pushed herself up, slightly bruised but still burning with fighting spirit.
Despite fusion's incredible boost, Li Yi's raw power and combat sense from intense training under divine conditions made him a different league entirely.
Seeing that she still couldn't overpower Li Yi, Kariel grew visibly frustrated. A fierce, grass-green aura erupted violently from her body the telltale sign of the Legendary Super Saiyan form.
"I wonder… does the Legendary Super Saiyan still lose control after fusion?" Li Xu pondered silently. The manga hadn't explicitly covered this, so even he wasn't sure.
"Raaahhh!"
Kariel's hair turned a wild, glowing green, her muscles expanding slightly, and her power skyrocketing. Her aura crackled like lightning, and the energy became even more aggressive and unstable.
"Still not fully stable?" Li Xu muttered with concern, watching the transformation.
"ROOAAAR!"
Kariel let out a bestial roar and lunged toward Li Yi in a sudden, feral burst of speed.
BOOM!
She appeared beside Li Yi in an instant and landed a clean punch while he was off-guard, sending him flying through the sky like a missile.
After tumbling mid-air, Li Yi quickly regained control, transformed into Super Saiyan with a sharp bang, and scowled. "She's completely lost her mind… again!"
With Kariel in this berserker state, her attacks were unpredictable and dangerous. If she wasn't careful, she could accidentally destroy Planet Sadala with a single misfire.
"I've gotta end this quickly," Li Yi decided internally.
He vanished from his spot and reappeared in front of Kariel. He threw a punch but Kariel caught his fist mid-air, her feral eyes burning with rage.
Without hesitation, she retaliated.
BOOM!
Her free fist slammed into Li Yi's gut with crushing force. He grimaced, nearly coughing up blood from the sheer impact.
Fighting through the pain, Li Yi retaliated with a spinning whip kick, which Kariel blocked with her arms though the force still knocked her back several meters.
Before she could recover, Li Yi teleported behind her, clenched both fists, and slammed them downward.
BANG!
Kariel crashed into the ground, creating a massive crater. The earth split like a spiderweb beneath her impact, and half her body was buried in debris.
"RRAAAHH!!"
Kariel roared again, her energy exploding outward uncontrollably. The shockwaves blasted across the battlefield, forcing Li Xu, Bulla, and the others to leap back to avoid being hit.
"She's a real handful," Li Yi muttered, frowning. Though his base combat power was higher, Kariel's reckless assault style and immunity to pain made her incredibly difficult to counter without going all-out.
SWOOSH!
Before he could regroup, Kariel charged again, fists flying in a chaotic flurry.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Li Yi blocked and dodged with effort, his mind racing. "I need to finish this… but how?"
Suddenly, Li Yi forced her back with a precise blow and shouted fiercely, focusing his ki.
His golden aura began rising sharply, flaring wildly. Kariel, enraged, tried to charge again only to be blown back by a violent gust of energy.
"He's breaking through…" Li Xu said under his breath, eyes gleaming. Li Yi's base power had already reached the threshold for Super Saiyan 2 and this intense battle had finally triggered the leap.
"RRRRAAAAAHHH!"
Li Yi roared again as his aura surged and stabilized. The air quieted, the dust settled. Sparks of electricity crackled around his body, his hair slightly spikier, his energy far more refined.
"This is… Super Saiyan 2," Li Yi whispered, clenching his fists in awe. His strength had doubled, and his body surged with newfound power.
"It's over."
Li Yi locked onto Kariel, then vanished in a blur.
BOOM!
His fist drove straight into her abdomen. Kariel's aura shattered on impact, and the fusion dissolved instantly into Caulifla and Kale, both falling unconscious.
"So fast…" Gabe muttered in disbelief. He had barely seen Li Yi move.
"Dad! Give me two Senzu Beans!" Li Yi shouted quickly.
Without delay, Li Xu tossed him two beans. Li Yi caught them and slipped one into each girl's mouth.
Moments later, both Caulifla and Kale sat up, blinking in confusion.
"What the heck happened?" Caulifla asked, rubbing her head. After transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan during fusion, her memory had gone blank.
"You can't be that reckless again," Li Yi warned, then quickly explained everything that had occurred.
"Wait you broke through to Super Saiyan 2?! Again?!" Caulifla shouted, stunned and annoyed at the same time.
"Obviously," Li Yi smirked arrogantly. "You'll never surpass me at this rate."
