Looking directly in front of them after walking for what felt like hours.
"Aghhhhh when are we going to get there my feet hurt I want to rest!!" Cried out Irene trying to draw the sympathy out of Lucas and Shinya. As Lucas just completely ignored her and Shinya just awkwardly avoided making eye contact entirely.
"Well, you know you could just not even think about the walking part and just look at the scenery besides us. "Said Shinya trying to boost her mood and it did work. It just didn't work well enough.
All around them was a completely different kind of environment filled with lush green. Tall green trees along with other bright color of trees to match the strange environment or continent they were in. As it was pine trees with blue leaves or Roseberry bushes with blueberry's instead of roses and rose thorns. All around them was these different colors of blue, pink, yellow all bright colors of the rainbow in the form of bushes trees shrooms and other things on the ground or in the air. It was a much brighter environment compared to before.
With even bright different colored birds this time everything seemed almost unreal or ethereal because of it.With the sun and moon still both out not being able to tell if it was daytime or nighttime in this bright pink tinted environment. Looking at your own skin could cause you to confuse what is reality and what isn't reality.
Behind them was the feeling of the overwhelming thought of death. As all three of them didn't want to focus on that and tried to focus on the future that was now before them.
Focused on the yellow brick road that they had now found as it was right by the shore of the green luscious grasslands. It was a yellow road that reminded Shinya of an old movie that he had watched as a kid called the wizard of oz.
"Hey, does this yellow brick road remind you guys of anything else? "Said Shinya questioningly looking at the other two waiting for a response of some sorts.
"No idea sorry" said Irene apologetically as Lucas didn't even bother to say anything.
This was just another point to prove it's obvious that they had no idea about the world that was before them and the world after them. Perhaps the movie was just a relic in time now lost once again. It kind of gave Shinya a sadder feeling.
"You know it can be seen as kind of relaxing as were slowly getting closer to approaching the castle I mean even the fucking birds are around us chirping and everything is in a positive mood. It's almost an unsettling kind of feeling though don't you think? For a place that is supposedly completely rose-tinted glasses to the max you can only wonder what secrets are hiding behind it. Perhaps there's another side to this road or even the castle itself' said Lucas in a mysterious curious kind of tone causing the other two to stop and ponder for a second.
"Well, I think it doesn't matter at least not until we get there right well never know the truth until its right in our face is how I feel like you know. "Said Irene in her mostly carefree kind of tone.
"Yeah, I agree with you Irene but honestly Lucas makes way more sense this just doesn't make much sense at all and it's kind of confusing the most surprising thing about it all though is the fact there's no one else. Like quite literally there is almost no other people it just makes me think, what happened to everyone outside these castle walls i mean was this a completely protected castle or something just what could be the reason?" Said Shinya bringing up more questions than answers at this point.
"Hey, come on guys let stop thinking about heavy things for now let's focus on what's in front of us Afterall isn't that the castle!!" Shouted Irene gleefully as she realized how truly close to the castle they were now.
It was within eye distance this castle a castle of bright colors of a bright grey mixed with pink walls but some grey parts of it perhaps it was repainted over? I mean who repaints over a castle I mean isn't a castle stone anyway that wouldn't make any sense at all. Shinya thought that to himself.
The castle was bright pink and grey with grey pointy tops and lots of pink huge windows with several bushes and leaves everywhere along the castle almost as if the castle itself was not maintained properly. On top of the castle was a way smaller little room that seemed to be at the very tip top of the castle just what could be up there Shinya wondered. Looking more intensely in the castle he saw several guards around it and several waterfalls at edges of the castle as a small lake surrounded the castle now in reach the castle seemed to be completely around some water.
It was a strange thing to see Afterall why the castle would have a borderline lake surrounding it with a massive brown gate at the front of the castle with even a draw bridge as the three of them could see guards going across it. The guards themselves looked like marshmallow people in armor.
It was still hard to tell what the guards were carrying across into the castle though as the castle also had multiple small flags in multiple vantage points perhaps providing a different sense or look to the castle? Shinya wasn't sure about the logic behind it.
All of this about the castle also provided the massive actual length and diameter of it caused the three of them feel even worse and even more unresolved in being able to do it and go into the castle and accomplish their mission of killing the king. Just how was it possible for them to do this they thought at first, they had to scope out the castle more, but it was Lucas who realized the truth of the nature.
"Whatever you're thinking we must do we don't your wrong we just have to get up there. "Said Lucas as he pointed above to that tallest point perhaps, he was saying that it would be best to enter through there it seemed like he was saying.
"Wait what how are we supposed to get up there though it doesn't make any sense I mean there's guards everywhere?" Said Irene
"Yeah, that's why we're going to climb up the trees and jump onto the castle. "Said Lucas
Leaving both astonished and appalled completely just how did he expect them to be able to make that jump. It was at least five maybe even ten feet from the tree closest to the castle I mean the roof of the castle didn't seem exactly nice to be on top of it either even the side of the castle had spikes all on them so people couldn't grab ahold of the sides and try to get on.
"So, you're saying when we get close enough to the castle, we must climb onto that tallest tree right to the right of the castle and jump off from a branch without being seen by a guard? "Said Shinya
"Yes, that's complete correct don't worry ill hold us ill even push u onto the top of the castle you'll just need to climb the top part to get in through that little room up there Shinya and Irene," said Lucas
"Wait now you're making it sound like you aren't going with us hold on now." Said Irene trying to get him to stop before he said anymore.
"Yeah, well somebody's got to be the distraction for the guards right ill appear at the main gate in front of them don't worry I'll be right behind you guys remember I'm faster than you guys I got this. "Said Lucas.
"This seems totally out of your character are you sure about this Lucas?"Said Shinya.
"Yeah, don't worry Afterall I need to repay you back for what you did for me." Said Lucas in a Quiter tone.
Perhaps referring to the sea serpent and the fact that Shinya really was the reason that Lucas had survived since he got the sea serpents attention at the last second and nearly died though if not for Legolas. Perhaps underneath the serious exterior there was a deeper softer side to Lucas that he had only barely seen before. At least compared to Irene that's for sure.
"Alright I understand" said Shinya in complete confidence now as they kept walking closer to the castle perhaps only 50-100 feet away by now.
"Wait what?? You understand?? Ugh fine I guess I'll just go along with you idiots then for now. "Said Irene impatiently just agreeing with them at this point though.
"Alright then I guess this is where we go our sperate ways don't worry well meet back again very soon" said Lucas with a goodbye of a sorts in his voice.
