Pamela's POV
The message stayed on my phone like an injury to me. It wasn't cryptic, it was ugly, and made fun of me. The person who sent it thought they could scare me. But it only made me more determined.
It only motivated me to do more. The scandal was right in-between the walls of the office building and there was no way I wouldn't sniff him out.
I stayed up all night checking the financial records again, comparing every movement of money, every name, and every signature. I needed to find the connection in this confusing mess that would show me who was loyal to Ray. I wouldn't stop until I figured it out.
I got to the office earlier than usual and after a while my assistant brought in the newest reports.
She hesitated and looked at the dark marks under my eyes. "Luna… did you get any sleep?"
I looked up at her, paused for a second at her question.
That's right, I didn't get any sleep.
"No," I answered, looking through the papers.
"But I discovered something."
