Chapter 44 - Same City, Different Thrones.

Pamela's POV

The buzzer went off before the sun came up, and for a second I didn't move, just looked up at the ceiling. My body hurt from the constant pressure of having to take care of everything, but I couldn't show any weakness. Not anymore.

I got dressed carefully in a blazer that fit well, straight pants, and heels that made a sharp sound on the family home's marble floors. My brothers were still sleeping, or acting like they were. I left quietly, and the city was already busy when my car arrived in the downtown area.

The business building was huge in front of me. It was my building now.

Inside, the office smelled like coffee and worry. When employees saw me, they moved quickly and greeted me formally. They hadn't gotten used to me yet. They didn't know if the Luna would run the business like a war zone or a safe place.

I wanted it to be both.
