The morning sun came in through the large windows of the office building, bright and reflecting against the glass.
My tablet was open next to some printed financial records, with a pen marking the spot where I had stopped before. If I wanted to manage both my pack and a business, I had to know everything that was happening.
Both outside and within the deals, that weren't made public

I look into files leading more into the past owners, Ray.
The families company business was just as clean and transparent. But Ray's company was a different story.
The more I looked into past files, the colder my hands felt.
There were deliveries marked as "completed" that never made it to their destination. Business deals were made to benefit unknown people. Money was being sent to fake employees that I knew weren't existing in this office.
This wasn't just carelessness, it seemed like planned stealing, like securing deals and then not completing them and still getting profit.
