When the rumour first got to my ears, I laughed out loud
Ray? Seeking an alliance with my pack?
It sounded unbelievable, like some made up story, cooked up to cause gossip in our halls, something to keep the folks busy.
The man who betrayed me, who thought he could control me in my past, would now lower himself to seek my help? He would surely regret it if it were true.
But after I had my messenger confirm it all, and when my brothers brought word of his official request to become allies,
I knew it wasn't a rumour. It was real.
And I couldn't have been any happier.
Ray's desperation was the sweetest proof to know that my plan was working. Piece by piece, Ray's power was slipping from his grasp and he didn't know, and now he was coming to the pack that thinks would save him. He came to seek allies from me.
