The next morning, the sun rose bright and early, casting a golden light over the town. The weather was perfect—clear skies, a gentle breeze, and the promise of a beautiful day ahead. The four friends woke up, each filled with excitement and anticipation for their long-awaited beach trip.
Aizen was the first to wake up. As the sunlight streamed through his curtains, he stretched and yawned, feeling more rested than he had in days. Today was going to be different—a day of fun and relaxation, away from the routine of school and everyday life. He quickly got out of bed, showered, and dressed in a casual T-shirt and shorts. After a quick breakfast, he double-checked his bag to make sure he had everything packed— snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and his favourite pair of sunglasses.
He stepped out of his apartment, feeling the warmth of the morning sun on his skin. With his backpack slung over one shoulder, Aizen walked next door to Violet's apartment. He knocked softly, and a few moments later, Violet opened the door, already dressed and ready for the day. She wore a light sundress over her swimsuit, and her usual shy smile greeted him.
"Good morning," Aizen said with a grin. "Ready for the beach?"
Violet nodded; her eyes bright with excitement. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go meet the others."
Over at Kei's place, the atmosphere was just as lively. Kei had been up for a while, her energy level at its usual high. She had spent the morning making a playlist for the trip and packing a few extra snacks, just in case anyone got hungry on the way. She was dressed in a vibrant tank top and shorts, with her hair tied up in a playful ponytail.
Ryuen arrived at her place shortly after, dressed in loose Hawaiian shirt and board shorts, looking every bit the laid-back beachgoer. "Morning, Kei! Looks like we're all set," he said, flashing her a thumb-up.
"Definitely!" Kei replied, slinging her beach bag over her shoulder. "Let's head over to
Aizen and Violet's place and get this day started!"
The four friends met up in front of Aizen and Violet's apartment building. There was an air of excitement as they exchanged greetings and made sure everyone had what they needed. With everything in order, they headed to the station to catch the train that would take them to the beach.
The train ride was filled with laughter and conversation, the usual shyness and quietness giving way to the shared excitement of the day ahead. Violet, who usually stayed on the quieter side, found herself joining in more, buoyed by the enthusiasm of her friends. Aizen sat beside her, occasionally glancing out the window at the passing scenery, feeling a sense of calm amidst the excitement.
When they finally arrived at the beach, they were greeted by the sight of sparkling blue water, golden sand stretching as far as the eye could see, and the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore. It was everything they had hoped for—and more.
Kei was the first to sprint towards the sand, kicking off her sandals and laughing as she felt the warm grains beneath her feet. "This is amazing!" she shouted back at the others, who were following at a more leisurely pace.
Ryuen grinned, tossing his bag down and running after her. "Race you to the water, Kei!"
Aizen and Violet, walking together, shared a smile. "Looks like they're already having a blast," Aizen said.
Violet nodded, her gaze soft as she watched Kei and Ryuen. "Yeah. I think today's going to be a lot of fun."
They found a spot to set up their things—laying out towels, putting up a beach umbrella, and organizing their supplies. The day was off to a perfect start, with the sun shining brightly overhead and the sound of laughter filling the air.
As they settled in, Kei and Ryuen were already splashing around in the water, their playful banter echoing across the beach. Aizen took a moment to appreciate the scene, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. This was exactly what they all needed—a break from the usual, a chance to just enjoy each other's company in a beautiful setting.
Violet, still a little shy about joining in the water fun, sat on her towel for a moment, taking in the scenery. Aizen noticed and offered her a gentle smile. "Want to take a walk along the shore?"
Violet looked up at him, grateful for the offer. "Yeah, that sounds nice."
As the two of them walked along the edge of the water, the cool waves lapping at their feet, they talked about everything and nothing—school, games, their plans for the rest of the summer. It was easy, comfortable, and for Aizen, it was a reminder of how far they had come since the day they had bumped into each other on the way to school.
Meanwhile, Kei and Ryuen were already planning the next activity—whether it was building sandcastles, playing beach volleyball, or just lounging under the sun with music and snacks. Whatever they decided, they knew it was going to be a day filled with laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories.
As the morning turned into afternoon, the beach became their playground, a place where they could leave their worries behind and just enjoy being together. The day was just beginning, and it was already shaping up to be everything they had hoped for.
