Chapter 12 - The Night Before Beach Day

As the evening settled into night, the four friends found themselves back in their respective apartments, each preparing for the big beach day tomorrow. The excitement of the upcoming trip was palpable, but first, there were a few home chores and preparations to take care of.

In his apartment, Aizen had just finished putting away the groceries he and Violet had bought. After a quick dinner, he set about tidying up his space. Living alone meant he had to stay on top of things, and tonight was no different. He washed the dishes, swept the floor, and made sure everything was in order.

As he worked, his mind wandered to the beach trip. It would be his first time going to the beach with friends since he had transferred schools, and he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. The thought of spending the day with Violet, Kei, and Ryuen brought a smile to his face. It was moments like these that made him grateful for the friends he had made here.

After finishing up his chores, Aizen showered and changed into his pajamas. As he lay in bed, the events of the day replayed in his mind. He thought about his walk with Violet, the shopping trip, and the plans they had made. The anticipation for tomorrow was building, and he knew it would be a day to remember.

Next door, Violet was in a similar state of mind. After returning from the supermarket, she spent some time organizing her things, making sure she had everything she needed for the beach. Her new swimsuit was neatly folded in her bag, along with her towel and sunscreen. She also made sure to pack a book, knowing she might want some quiet time by the water.

Once everything was packed, Violet took a moment to tidy up her apartment. She wiped down the kitchen counter, fluffed the pillows on her couch, and watered the small plants by her window. It was a calming routine, one that helped ease the lingering nervousness she felt about tomorrow.

As she got ready for bed, Violet couldn't help but think about the beach trip. It was a big step for her, especially after the anxiety of buying a swimsuit, but she felt more at ease knowing that Kei, Aizen, and Ryuen would be there. They had all become so important to her, and she knew that no matter what happened, they would make sure she had a good time.

Lying in bed, Violet stared at the ceiling, her thoughts drifting to the sound of waves, the

warmth of the sun, and the laughter of her friends. Tomorrow would be a new experience, and she was ready for it.

Across town, Ryuen had just finished a late-night snack and was now taking care of a few last-minute tasks. He was usually a bit more relaxed when it came to chores, but tonight he wanted to make sure everything was set before the big day. He did a quick sweep of his room, put away some stray clothes, and double-checked his bag to ensure he had his baseball cap and sunglasses ready for the beach.

Ryuen was excited—he always loved the beach, and going with friends made it even better. As he lay on his bed, tossing a baseball in the air and catching it, he thought about how much fun they were going to have. The idea of running around on the sand, playing games, and just relaxing with his friends was the perfect way to spend a summer day.

He caught the baseball one last time and set it on his nightstand before turning off the light. As he closed his eyes, his mind filled with images of the beach, the sound of waves, and the laughter of his friends. Tomorrow was going to be awesome, and he couldn't wait.

Meanwhile, Kei was in her room, humming a tune as she folded some laundry. She was always the energetic one, and even late at night, she found herself busy with tasks. She had already packed her beach bag earlier in the day, making sure to include all the essentials—extra sunscreen, snacks, a portable speaker for music, and of course, her favourite beach towel.

After finishing her laundry, Kei took a quick shower and settled into bed. As she lay there, her mind raced with thoughts of tomorrow. She was particularly excited about the chance to unwind with her friends. The beach was one of her favourite places, and she couldn't wait to soak up the sun, play in the water, and maybe even convince the others to join her in a beach volleyball match.

Kei smiled to herself, already planning how she would get everyone involved in the fun. She knew Violet might be a bit shy at first, but she was determined to make sure everyone had a great time. With that thought, Kei closed her eyes, her excitement carrying her into a peaceful sleep.

In their separate apartments, Aizen, Violet, Ryuen, and Kei each drifted off to sleep, their minds filled with anticipation for the day ahead. Tomorrow, the beach awaited them—a place of sun, sand, and the promise of new memories with the friends who had made this summer one they would never forget.
