Ficool

Chapter 82 - 82

After thinking about it for a bit, I didn't remember many moments of using her powers. Still, I haven't watched that many episodes. I only remembered two things, first, she used icicles.

Extending my arm, I concentrated and ....

*♪ Whoo! ♪

The icicle came out easily. After I practiced a little bit, I started to get better at it. I was able to find the optimal icicle shape, not too big, but not too small. That's probably what Caitlin was throwing. You can throw small ones, but they'll be a little different in shape. Which is fine. The big ones take a little longer to create. These can be created instantly and thrown easily. Sharpness and hardness are pretty good too, one hit is one dead body. Unless, of course, the enemy is Rust or Atomic Destroyer.

Hmm, kind of like she could move fast with ice power. That's the second ability I remember. Let's try it.

Concentrating, I lowered my hand down and released the ice force, in the beginning it didn't work, I was just creating a construct, nothing more. But then I changed the amount of force released and changed the speed of the release, and engaged my other hand. One forward, the other backward, to provide stability and create slip. After that, ice quickly appeared under my feet and began to build up quickly, at the same time I began to move quickly.

«Haaaaah, shit! - the speed was pretty fast, plus I could easily direct my position. Up, left, right, down, I could move anywhere I wanted by just changing the position of my arm. It was strange at first, but then I could figure out how it worked.

Unfortunately, I wasn't happy for long, after about two minutes of flying, the cold energy started to run out. So I didn't take any chances and went back down.

"Yeah, that's what I mean by strength..." - Looking up, I grinned involuntarily. There were several ice spirals about fifty meters high. The ice was so solid that it held calmly in such a position. Killer Frost's strength is astonishing, and after all, I only took away nothing but bone marrow. She can probably create such structures for hours, if not more. Such powers are definitely worth developing, I just can't overlook them. Moreover, because of the immense cold temperature, I might be able to use this power somewhere else.

I was already glad of such an acquisition, but I didn't forget about the other thing. The powers that were not inferior to Caitlin's had to be tested too. In terms of combat, Reverb's abilities are certainly greater. And they're actually more useful, but Killer Frost's abilities are also applicable in certain situations where Reverb's powers are of no use at all. So having the two of them is very beneficial to me. And I definitely didn't take them because of their combat power, at least Caitlin's power.

The problem with Reverb's abilities was that I couldn't feel them, unlike Killer Frost's powers. Even Atomic Crusher's powers I could feel. Unlike Caitlin's ice power 'storage', Atomic Crusher's power had no such thing. Roughly speaking, my entire body was a storage facility. I absorbed radiation from my bones and other tissues and stored it there. It might seem dangerous to others, because I could irradiate them, but it wasn't. I wasn't just not emitting radiation, I was absorbing it. Why would I spread it? It's like I'd be giving away my energy. Anything about controlling radiation in the environment is beyond me. As it happens, I always walk around fed so I don't draw attention to myself. As for controlling the radiation inside me, I'm a master at that. Not only can I control its flow, but I can hide it all in my bones, as strange as that sounds. Anyway, there's no need for that, I just don't give off any radiation at all. Saliva, sweat, or anything like that, is non-radioactive - not at all. If the Destroyer had that kind of power, wouldn't he be a monster? His sweat alone could destroy dozens of people around him.

It's also worth considering that I can't absorb radiation from closed sources. Such as living things or other objects. I need it to be in an open environment, so to speak, or there's no other way. So I can't "suck" radiation out of a person, just like I can't irradiate them.

Ten minutes later, I still felt nothing. No vibrations, nothing. But I was persistent, so I sat and waited until nothing happened. I'll sit here for days if I have to.

After two hours, I made the first progress, which I was overjoyed about. I was able to release some power. It was only a slight wave, but the ice I was sitting on cracked with that small burst of vibration.

After another hour, I finally began to understand how it worked. I had to concentrate hard and keep my hand in one position, but it was worth it. I was able to create vibrations in ways I didn't understand. I didn't have any special energy in me, rather I used the strange energy of the outside world, channeling it through my body. After that I somehow influence it and it vibrated, that's how the attack is created by these particles. They vibrate very strongly, so much so that even hard ice easily splits, as does the asphalt underneath.

Thus, after practicing a bit more, I quickly mastered this power, which couldn't have been more satisfying. I could now release vibratory waves without any problems. Unfortunately, that wasn't exactly what I was aiming for. My main goal, of course, was to open portals to other worlds.

So, I wasn't trying to let the energy flow through me, but rather to influence it in the external environment. If I remember correctly, that's how you create a portal. You need a strong enough force to make a connection to the other world. Barry was able to do it with speed, and Cisco with his vibration power. If I can make space vibrate at a certain frequency, I can open a portal to the world I want.

«Hoo, well, let's give it a try... - I exhaled a long breath and began the long and tedious endeavor.

After five hours, I still had nothing. The only thing I realized was that what was needed was not a rough vibration, but a certain type of vibration. That's when the first results began to appear, the connections with space. In this process, smoothness is important, which is difficult to achieve. There's a lot of strain on the body, which made it difficult. That's probably what the Cisco gloves were for. But Reverb could do it without them, I guess. I'm not sure he learned how to open portals, though. Anyway, I don't have time for gloves. I'll learn this way, it's possible, I'm sure. I remember Gypsy opened gaps with no problem at all, so I should be able to do it. Of course my powers are definitely far from that level, but they can be developed. So I'll spend the rest of my time doing that. A day, a week, whatever, I'll open the damn portal...
