"Rae feel like dying."
Melissa was too deep in her own storm of confusion and smells, and Rae knew he had to seize the golden moment before she snapped out and bolted.
So he went for the kill. He let his head tilt back, fluttered his eyes like a bad actor in a cheap play, and shut them dramatically, letting his body sag like a man giving up on life.
Melissa panicked immediately, her hands tightening on his thighs.
"Rae kun, don't close your eyes, you… this… uh…"
She wasn't sure what the hell she was even supposed to do. All she knew was the monster was still draped across her face like a suffocating curtain, smearing itself with each twitch.
"Rae feel light headed…" he whispered again, voice weak, pitiful.
Melissa's heart clenched. Actually now that she thought about it, she had heard something somewhere, maybe from a drunk junior sister or maybe from the sect doctor, she didn't even remember. It had been so many years.
