"R-Rae kun?"
Melissa's voice slipped out in a shaky whisper, but Rae didn't even twitch. He sat there trembling like a wet dog, muttering to himself.
"Rae die. Rae is gone."
His head shook violently, tears rolling down his cheeks.
'What the hell is he doing. Can't he see m— ohhh, the cloak.'
It hit her. The damn cloak. To him she wasn't even there. Invisible. So whatever pitiful show he was putting on was real, right? Right?
And then his voice cracked.
"My briends, Rae is cumming."
Melissa's eyes went wide. Her heart skipped a beat, then flipped, then twisted.
'What the… did he just say… cumming.'
Her throat tightened, face heating. She remembered the story he told, about his so-called friends dying. And now here he was saying he was… coming to them.
'Coming where. Coming how. Don't tell me he means that.'
Her kitty clenched with cold and embarrassment all at once.
Melissa stood up and crept toward him, the stone floor biting against her knees.
