Melissa's jaw almost hit the floor.
She watched in disbelief as Rae walked forward, casual as hell, not even crouching, not even pretending to sneak. Just… walking.
Straight into the line of sight of five goblins.
Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest when their yellow eyes turned to him.
Every muscle in her body screamed to run, to grab him, to do something before they skewered him with their rusty spears.
But then… nothing happened.
The goblins glanced at him, tilted their ugly heads for a second, then just went back to their lazy patrol like he wasn't even there.
Melissa's lips parted, her breath trembling out.
'What… the actual hell. How. How did he—what?!'
She stayed crouched, frozen, clutching her cloak so tight she thought it would tear. Her mind scrambled for a reason.
Goblins didn't just ignore intruders. They were like wild dogs, snapping at anything that moved. But Rae… Rae just walked through them like he belonged here.
