She placed the chain she always wore onto his side table and kept it there. Downstairs, in the green lawn, there were a lot of lanterns, where green flowers had been planted. Right across from them, there was a TV lounge. On the left side, there was a kitchen, and beside the kitchen another room, and from that room's left side, there was a door that led outside. On the right side, there was a washroom.
Downstairs, her dad was watching TV. She went and placed her head on her dad's shoulder. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, her mom was cooking food. Rose's mom told her to set the table for dinner.
The kitchen was an open kitchen, and beside the counter, there was a small round table with three chairs. Rose set the food and sat down to eat. After finishing dinner, she went upstairs.
Her mom told her, "You always get nightmares because when you wake up, you scream loudly, and I always have to make you quiet. That's why you get scared." Rose argued a little but went upstairs anyway.
She wore the chain again and went to her room. As she sat down in her apartment, she heard the doorbell ring. She quickly went and opened the door. Outside stood a delivery boy named Mile Mack, who brought a cold drink for Lucy. Lucy had ordered it. She gave the money and closed the door. Lucy then asked Mile to come in, but he said he couldn't because he was on duty.
Lucy was watching TV at that time. Mile went away, and she shut the door, turned off the TV, and went straight to her bed. She was happy because she liked that boy, but he lived in the apartment opposite hers.
Rose, while sleeping, suddenly woke up around 3 a.m. She got up to drink water but, while walking, accidentally dropped the glass. Because of that, the glass broke, and a big shard of glass pierced into her foot. She tried to pull it out herself but then sat down on the sofa in pain.
She heard the sound of glass breaking, and she didn't like it at all.
Her mom came out, and when she saw her daughter's condition, she got very worried. She immediately went to her room, brought the first-aid box, and carefully removed the glass from Rose's foot. She cleaned the wound properly and bandaged it to stop further bleeding.
Because it wasn't too serious, they didn't go to the hospital. Her mom comforted her and took her upstairs. Rose lay down, but she couldn't sleep the entire night because of the pain. Only in the morning did she finally get some relief.
