"Anything is possible, Lady Naomi. The snacks and food you made for me smelled so good that I couldn't resist them. Somehow, I found my way over to the table and ate them all. Isn't that a big miracle?!". Paola thought of the best explanation in her mind and instantly said to Naomi with a big wide smile.
She added, "You believe me, right?".
When Naomi didn't say anything even after what she said, Paola couldn't stop looking at her and didn't bother to chew the cookies in her mouth.
Suddenly, Naomi chuckled with her hand slightly covering her mouth, making Paola blink multiple times in a row because she had no idea what was going on in Naomi's head.
"You really reminded me of my childhood, Piper. I remember after I sprained my ankle, I ate all the food my mother made, and she was stunned and ended up asking me how I did it".
"Like, I literally had one good leg to make it over to the food". Naomi said, but Paola continued to look at her in disbelief.
