Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: The World Changes

[3rd POV]

The Young Justice leaving had left Wanda alone once more. She understood that it was sort of around the time when the slow season would start, at least somewhat. There wasn't much to buy in a few of the universes, and once you had a regular, they tended to get more and more books until eventually they had bought all of the ones that had interested them.

Which is why Wanda had decide to start creating books of the fictional works hailing from the Dragon Ball universe, as well as ones hailing from the Star Trek universe. A lot of them were pretty god awful, and frankly just a waste of time to create or pay attention to, but there was some that were genuine masterpieces that would be beloved back in her own home universe.

Not to the same level as something like Lord of the Rings or anything like that of course, but on the level of something similar to Harry Potter or the like. Beloved, great, but not a true absolute masterpiece.

Lord of the Rings was still uncontested in her eyes. And it was a constant in a LOT of universes that the Lord of the Rings books either existed, or had some sort of weird fake made of it or something like that. The fakes were...not even remotely as good as the real thing, but they...tried their best?

That was the best way Wanda could put it.

The Lord of the Rings knock off in the Dragon Ball Z universe was absolutely god awful, and had to have been one of the worst fakes she had ever seen for a book that she had known from her past life on Earth. It was genuinely insulting how bad that book was.

So she promptly decided to act like it did not exist, and that it was fake. And instead she focused on adapting the actually good and interesting books that existed in those two multiverses. There was quite a few that she found to be truly incredible, and deserved to be shown to new multiverses where they would be loved and adored.

She had already created around ten different books, and planned on making around a hundred new ones. She had yet to actually push any over into the DC universe, she hadn't really done that with any of her books actually. They were all known by word of mouth, but she was beginning to think that maybe she should actually produce and release them to the wider public. But instead of doing it in a super public way, she could just do it all under a fake name or something.

Manipulating probability would make that easy.

She knew that a few of her books were already causing some serious changes back in that world, and she was curious to see what they would be.

Either way, she was "hard" at work at the books.

________________

Back in DC, Wanda's thoughts regarding changes happening to the greater world was indeed VERY much happening. Like...more than she had even known (mostly because she chose not to know until she went there in person).

There was a few of them that were so big that it was beginning to affect the entire world, especially in regards to her books on different diseases, energy technologies, and such.

The first of them was the diseases.

Thanks to a few of her customers being scientists, with a couple of them even working at Star Labs, they had found out about a few of her books that held knowledge on some pretty big diseases. Or at least the category of disease in some case.

Dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's Disease.

They had all been cured within the relatively short time in which Wanda's bookstore had been opened in Gotham. All thanks to the Star Labs workers that had visited the shop, and the few other scientists that had bought books from Wanda.

The fact that three major diseases had all been cured within only a month or so of each other was incredible, absolutely incredible. Three major diseases that were ailing humanity since their inception had finally been dealt with, all thanks to Wanda's influence.

Not that anyone knew that. She had made sure to place a few charms on the books that are bought by normal people, so that if something like this was to occur, they would not share the fact that it came from her bookstore, and they would not cause problems for her.

Was that wrong and mental manipulation? Probably, to an extent. But she did not want to deal with a ton of humans and other folk flocking to her beloved store.

The men and women that had managed to cure the diseases were obviously getting a LOT of attention. Mostly from people involved in the area, and other scientists that got jealous that they had managed it. Noble Prize folk had also payed close attention to them, and it was very likely they would get many awards thanks to their contribution to humanity as a whole.

That was just the disease side of things.

In terms of other areas, the next biggest influence was the energy sector.

A few of her customers did not share their names, and as such she did not go out of her way to find them out. One such name was that of Ted Kord, a billionaire with a lot of money to throw around.

And thanks to her books he had bought regarding clean and efficient energy, he had a target for his wealth. As she had provided books that held schematics, proven theory, and other methods of providing massive amounts of clean energy with little difficulty and strain.

Thanks to this, Kord Industries had been massively rising in power at a pace that far outclassed any other company in the world, as they began to rapidly release new products. Like new solar panels that absorbed far more energy without wasting it, new turbines that did not need oil or other fossil fuels to create them in the first place. New energy production methods using the ocean itself (without harming it), and dozens more.

The best part about this? Was the fact that he hadn't even made 5% of the total schematics in the books, and he knew that this was just the beginning.

Thanks to Kord, the energy companies that dealt in oil and such were freaking the hell out thanks to the massive contributions he was beginning to make. They had sent some people to deal with the issue, but none of them had succeeded.

Zatara was good at protecting people from assassins.

Kord Industries was absolutely the leading energy provider, far and away superior to any other on the planet. And it was likely going to remain that way for a long time.

Oil would be a thing of the past within the next ten years.

The other major area that was having absolutely giant leaps in technology was the trash, litter, and cleaning side of things.

Mostly because of a father and son duo who ran a rather large trash company. They had entered the shop and ended up finding some of her books on the methods of disposing of said trash while actually getting something out of it beyond energy.

And what they had found was incredible.

It was technology capable of perfectly extracting useful materials from trash, and separating it into various areas where it could then be used to build other things, or sold. There was also methods for turning trash into pure energy without it negatively effecting the surroundings.

Another of the teachings involved oceans and cleaning trash from them, and used a rather incredible machine that would suck up trash from the ocean and then repurpose it. It was an expensive machine, but entirely worth it once it was finished.

Even existing landfills would be useless once they began to use yet another machine that could perfectly suck up trash from the grounds and soil, cleaning it perfectly.

They had already been making waves thanks to their ability to perfectly get rid of trash and recycle, using the new machines for the betterment of humanity.

There were others of course, other ideas that were not as big or noticeable.

Like new and improved chip technologies, new tech involving increasing the rate at which trees grow at immense speeds. There was a lot, more than they even knew.

And it was making massive waves, good ones.

But where there was good...there had to be bad.

The Light had been abusing their new knowledge well, primarily thanks to the aid of their newest member, Child. A girl that was now the Chaos Lord replacement for Klarion. She was a bit different than in canon, and probably shouldn't exist in this case.

But chaos was chaos.

Which is what they were doing right now, sitting around a meeting table, listening as Child explained the new magics that she was finding in the books, and how they would aid in any rituals that they might need to use.

Rituals that could be used against the Justice League.

Which learning this new information, and all the others on top of it, the Light had only one thought.

'We need to say in Wanda's good grace!'
