[3rd POV]
Staring at Odalia Blight, Wanda's eyes glowed with thinly veiled dislike. She could tell just from looking at the woman, that she was awful. Her emotions were openly shown, and the absolute fear that Amity was showing towards her was not helping.
The fact that Amity was currently behind her, fearfully shaking as she was clutching her clothes, told her all that she needed to know.
"Amity, dear, you really must come with me. You have duties back home that are far more important than some...dusty little bookstore. Come" Odalia said, holding her hand out for Amity to grab, only for the girl to flinch back.
"I don't think she wants to go with you, Blight" Eda said on the side, an angered scowl on her face as she also clearly saw what was happening here.
"And I don't think I asked for your opinion. Truly, to have someone like you shopping here tells me all that I need to know about this place" Odalia said with a scowl of her own, glaring at Eda who was threatening to form magic, only for Wanda to glance at her.
Eda stilled when she saw the look that Wanda was giving. It may look like a glance to others, but Eda saw what was really glimmering in those beautiful eyes of Wanda's.
Pure, absolutely unadulterated rage.
She wanted Odalia dead.
And the reason was very very simple.
She had read the womans mind. And what she found...was even worse than she had thought.
The woman had not only been horrifically abusing her daughter, treating her like a slave, and working her to the bone while allowing her children to viciously bully her.
She was planning on marrying her off. Not only was she going to forcefully marry her off, she was going to marry her to a man that was quite literally 7 times her age.
The man was in his 70's. He was the owner of some company in the Boiling Isles that specialized in making potions. Said potions could be used in tandem with their own works to improve them.
He wanted a "Beautiful doll" at his side. And by doll, he meant a young girl.
And he wanted Amity.
That was what made Wanda so angry, and was the reason she was currently reaching into the universe Amity was from, and placing all sorts of horrific curses onto the man. The sort of curses that would make the remaining years of his life absolutely horrible.
And once he died, he would be tortured for eternity, never enjoying warmth or love or comfort. Forever in pain, and forever suffering for his thoughts regarding Amity, and what he wanted to do to not only her, but to other little girls.
A monstrous scum.
And this woman in front of her wanted to sell her daughter to him.
"Amity will not be leaving with you, Odalia Blight" Wanda said coldly, her hand reaching back and softly being placed on the girl's head, giving her a comforting touch as Amity stilled and looked up at her.
"And who are you to deny my daughter from me?! I am her mother! You have no right!" Odalia said with a furious scowl on her face, as she was preparing to use a magical spell. Only for Wanda to glare at her, as Odalia's magic was obliterated.
The magic that Wanda herself embodied. She ripped the parts of herself from the unknowing woman, who had no idea she had just lost what made her so special. Losing every ounce of magic that was within her being.
As she tried to make the spell, it fizzled out like it was nothing. Odalia frowned at this, trying to use it again, only to realize that her magic was not working. Looking up at Wanda, her face grew red in fury.
"What did you do!? Why can I not use my magic!?" Odalia roared, trying to grab a nearby book to throw at her, only for the book to not move an inch.
"I have taken what you are so proud of, Odalia Blight. You will no longer be able to utilize the gift of magic, never again. Your husband has lost his ability as well, and those foolish little children have been cursed to slowly lose theirs, should they not see the error of their ways" Wanda said coldly, as Amity looked up at her in awe.
"Wh-" "It's alright honey, she won't be hurting you again" Wanda said softly, ignoring the enraged Odalia who was trying to move to attack her, only for her to still as if she was frozen.
"Y-You knew?" Amity asked, realizing that Wanda knew this entire time. She had to. She didn't seem that shocked with this situation, as if she had been expecting it.
"...I did" Wanda responded, watching Amity's reaction.
"Bu-but why didn't you say anything before if you knew?" Amity asked, wide eyed.
"Because I didn't want you to leave, hon. I was hoping that you would come to me yourself, to ask for help. I didn't want you to think I am manipulating you or anything. But when I had seen the sheer brutality of injuries that your family had been placing onto you...I had to intervene" Wanda answered, deciding to be completely truthful.
"Intervene how?" Amity asked, her stutters dying out.
"I placed a sort of spell on you, your hairpin more specifically. This made it so that they could no longer hurt you physically, because the spell compelled them not to. It also had the sub ability of compelling them to follow you here" Wanda responded, watching the girl look up at her in anger.
"Why!? Why would you want them to come here?!" Amity yelled.
"So that I could punish them for what they have been doing to an innocent child. So I can see your mother in person, as I curse her for laying her hands on such a perfect little girl, one that does not deserve to be beaten, bullied, and neglected" Wanda responded calmly, understanding Amity's anger.
Eda silently listened to all of this, walking to a distant corner of the shop, deciding that this was not a conversation she should be listening to.
"B-But-" "Honey, I would never, EVER do anything to hurt you. I only wanted what was best for you, and I understand if you are angry, but just know that I did it so that I can help you. So that you would never have to deal with any of what they had been doing to you, ever again" Wanda softly cut her off, as Amity stared up at her, her anger soon fading.
"W-Why?"
"Because you deserve to live, Amity. You deserve to have a family that cares and loves and adores you. You deserve to live a happy life without fear or sorrow, to live like a child that you are. And because you deserve to be loved" Wanda responded, her eyes softening more as she saw the tears beginning to streak from Amity's eyes.
"I understand if you are angry with me, Amity. But I would do it all again, as long as you are safe. Why? Because I care for you, honey. Just as I care for my own children" Wanda continued, as Amity's tears continued to flow.
Wanda slowly began to crouch in front of Amity, as she saw the look in her eyes. And without hesitation, Wanda surged forwards and pulled the crying Amity into her arms, and softly spoke.
"You can let it all out, honey. I'm here, you're safe" Wanda whispered to the little girl, as she began to sob against her chest, holding her tight as Wanda softly rubbed her back, and whispered calming words in her ears.

It had taken Amity a few minutes to stop crying, as she was now wiping her eyes with soft sniffles still leaving her. She was sat in front of a softly smiling Wanda.
"Now, Amity. I know that this is a lot, but I have to ask, what do you want to do now?" Wanda asked, as Amity looked up at her.
"What do I want to do?"
"Mhmmm, do you want me to send you with someone? Your mother will never harm you again, nor will your siblings. I've placed some rather nasty curses on all of them, and they will never even be able to approach you again. Your siblings can only do so if they redeem themselves" Wanda responded.
"No! No, I-I-I want-can-" "Would you like to stay with me, little one?" Wanda asked softly, a motherly smile on her face as she looked at Amity who was struggling to speak.
Amity looked up at her in surprise.
"Y-You'd let me stay with you?" Amity asked, wide eyed as Wanda smiled, and responded simply, but even this simple sentence had caused tears to appear in Amity's eyes once more, and that sentence was...
"I'd love nothing more"
