Chapter 105 - Chapter 104 - Before the Ceremonies

"I'm happy it all went well," Blanc smiled at them as he approached, "Can I help you with those?"

"No," said Miyanna, taking a step back out of a sudden, "Sorry."

"All right, keep your secrets," Blanc chuckled, raising his hands, not offended by Miyanna's actions. "While you two prepare, I will go down for a bit to get us some food for after the ceremonies, and then come back to get ready as well."

"Wonderful, said Celine as they attempted to walk past Blanc but got stopped by a hand on their shoulder.

"Are you two not forgetting something?" Blanc asked.

"Ah, I apologize, my love, it slipped my mind," Celine smiled mischievously as she went in for a kiss.

Followed by one from an awkward Miyanna.

"While I do not mind in the slightest to be kissed, this is not what I meant," Blanc sighed.

"W-what then?" Miyanna stuttered, a nervous look on her face, perhaps from thinking that Blanc suspected something as to what happened in the city or the gifts she took for him.

"I need the coin purse, I need to pay for the food, remember?" Blanc asked.

With a sharp exhale of relief from Miyanna and with a giggle from Celine at yet another thing that slipped her mind, she took out the coin purse and placed it in his hands.

"It barely changed weight, or has it increased actually?" Blanc muttered more to himself than to the two.

"We know how to save money," Celine smiled as she passed him while dragging Miyanna along, "We'll be going now, love."

With a sigh, Blanc placed the purse safely in her place on his leather belt and went out the door to order food.

After choosing the items off the menu, paying for them, and requesting the food to be brought to their room, he went back, but he couldn't enter the room he and his two future wives shared as he was not allowed to lay eyes on them until before the ceremony.

Knowing this from his first betrothal, he took his things into Kael and Lune's room before Celine and Miyanna even arrived back.

Luckily, the twins didn't complain as the bribe they received from Blanc was satisfying enough for them.

While Kael was, even now, lost inside the pages of one of the books Blanc got him, a romance book, even, Lune was tracing her finger along the new, unique weapon Blanc got her.

It was unbelievable for Blanc when he saw it for the first time.

He bought it from a wounded man at a stall.

The wounded man said he used it in one other battle before, that battle also being the one in which he got himself wounded and had to run away from his continent to ours.

Just to find himself in another war.

So, wounded and not able to fight in the future since he lost an entire arm, he decided to sell parts of his equipment to settle down somewhere safe.

And luckily, he was selling it for cheap.

The weapon itself was what the man called a chakram, a circular blade that was used mostly as a throwing weapon or as a weapon in close quarters.

Perfect for Lune.

And when she laid eyes on it, she was beyond happy.

At that time, instead of saying 'toilet, toilet' as she said when they got to the inn, she was saying 'chakram, chakram' while running and jumping around the table, weapon in hand.

A very bad idea, one Blanc soon corrected before something unfortunate happened.

And for almost an hour now, Lune was lost in the weapon, tracing along the unknown engraved markings that were carved on the handle of the blade.

"Little flower," said Blanc as he changed into more formal clothes.

It was a far cry from his formal and full of jewelry attire that he had on at his betrothal with Celine.

But that wasn't really a bad thing in his eyes, as he was pleased with his costume.

But as Lune turned towards her brother to see what he wanted, a knock came at the door.

So he rushed out alone.

Soon, the food had arrived and was laid on the table.

And from what Blanc spoke with Celine and Miyanna through the door, they, too, were soon ready.

So he quickly returned to the twins' room.

"Lune," he said as he entered.

"Hm?" she muttered, barely acknowledging Blanc.

"Are you not coming? Or have you forgotten you hold the ceremonies?"

"Ah!" Lune realized, jumping from the bed, fully panicked. "Why didn't you say anything before, brother?"

"How is this my fault?" Blanc sighed before turning to his younger brother, "Kael, can I ask you to bring the sword to the ceremony?"

"I will," Kael nodded, still lost in the book.

I should not have worried about those two; it's not like Celine and Miyanna would not figure out that I was out too. I went along because I found it cute, and now look at them… Blanc thought as he watched the twins.

But with another sigh, he turned and went into the large room and, lost in thought, began circling the room as he slowly walked.

He donned the best clothes he thought were worth carrying around when they left the mansion and had yet to use them.

But he suddenly stopped as Celine opened the door and left their room.

"Ready? she asked, while wearing that same dress she wore when she first met her, that dress of deep violet and silver.

"You look… wonderful," Blanc muttered, staring at her.

"So do you, my love," she offered him a smile, "But wait until you see Miyanna."

The woman who came outside the room was not Miyanna.

Yes, she wore that same onyx-colored hair and had those beautiful bronze-colored eyes as Miyanna had.

But this…

Wearing a dark blue dress that molded to her body, making every shape, every muscle, every fiber of her being more alluring to the eyes.

"By the Vita…" Blanc whispered, his eyes wide.

"I-is it bad?" Miyanna stuttered, her cheeks crimson and her eyes glued to the ground, "I knew it would not suit me."

"What are you talking about, Miyanna? You look blissful," Celine sighed, sending a stare toward Blanc.

Catching her signal, he approached Miyanna, "Miyanna, you… You are beautiful. Even those words don't feel like they do you justice."

"R-really?" Miyanna asked as she finally looked at him

"Really," Blanc nodded, offering a smile, "I swear to the Vita."

"You, uh, you look handsome too, Blanc," Miyanna muttered.

'Who was this extraordinary creature?' Both Celine and Blanc wondered as they watched her.

But they couldn't find an answer as Lune left the room.

Blanc approached Miyanna and offered her his hand, "Shall we?"

With a nod and a smile that could not hide Miyanna's happiness, she took his hand and they slowly walked towards the table as Celine gave Lune the golden goblet.

The homemade betrothal ceremony of Blanc of Blood Denegis and Beleel Denegis Miyanna was now underway.
