"Hmm," groaned Miyanna as she moved around in the bed, not waking up from Blanc's words.
Celine did, though, open her eyes slowly, turning to look at Blanc.
"Good morning," he smiled at her.
"Good morning, my love," she whispered, her throat dry.
"Drink some water," he said, offering her the cup, which she accepted gratefully.
After a few gulps, she sighed, before looking at him with a grin, "What was it you said to me a few days ago? 'You confuse my lust for you, for lust for others,' and look what you did last night."
Blanc became embarrassed at her words, remembering the lack of control he had.
"I have no excuses," he sighed, shaking his head lightly.
Celine stretched her hands as she giggled, "I know you do not. Is that why you brought breakfast here for both of us?"
"No, I thought you might want to eat in bed from the alcohol," Blanc explained.
"Quite a nice gesture, it would be a pity if she missed such a sight," muttered Celine as she began lightly shaking Miyanna to wake her.
"Mmm," she murmured, wanting to be left alone.
"Miyanna, wake up," Celine said to her.
"My head is killing me," Miyanna whispered, still not opening her eyes.
Celine approached her face, whispering in her ear slowly, "Blanc brought us breakfast."
With that piece of information, Miyanna slowly opened her eyes, yet the room was still spinning.
Alcohol is good for recreation.
Yet what followed after the alcohol of last night could have barely been called recreation.
More like a workout, or a fight in itself, even.
"Get up and eat, you drunkard," said Blanc, "You will feel better after eating something warm and drinking some water."
"See?" asked Celine, looking at her.
Miyanna sighed, getting herself up on her butt, trying to cover her naked body with the cover.
"Water," said Miyanna, putting her hand forward.
Celine giggled seeing her, before turning to Blanc and doing the same, "More water, please."
Blanc stood there, realizing that by now he looked like a servant to two sassy ladies.
Still, with a sigh, he brought both wooden cups to them.
After both gulped the cups dry, they returned the cups to him as they both said in unison, "More."
After they had satisfied their thirst, only then was Miyanna able to speak more than simple commands.
"What time is it?" she asked.
"Morning," Blanc answered.
"Only?" Miyanna asked, "Why the fuck have you woken me so early? We barely slept two hours."
"Stop complaining," began Blanc, taking the empty cups from them and giving them the bowls of porridge, "Eat and then you can sleep until tomorrow."
"You heard the man, Miyanna. Eat, and then we nap," Celine said, laughing, as she accepted her bowl.
Miyanna took her bowl too and placed it on her lap without complaining further.
"What will you do now?" Celine asked Blanc.
"I will go eat breakfast with Kael and Lune. Maybe it will make them feel better. And then, while you sleep, I will finish the preparations for the journey ahead. Properly this time," he replied.
"Do you need some help?" Celine asked.
Blanc shook his head lightly, "Fret not, eat and rest. We can talk about the road after you two rest properly. I can handle the preparations, and if I need help, I can ask the little ones."
"All right," Celine nodded.
"Enjoy your food, then," said Blanc to the two as he turned and left the room.
"Does he always do this?" Miyanna asked after he left.
"Food in bed? Rarely. It means he is in a good mood," Celine replied, smiling. "Why? Do you hate it?"
Miyanna shook her head, "Not at all. I might get used to this, actually."
"Who wouldn't? After all, this is rare even between the Noble Bloods," Celine giggled.
"What's rare?" Miyanna asked as she continued eating the porridge.
"All of this. Blanc in itself. No other Noble Blood or man, for that matter, would just bring the food he cooked for his partners and do stuff around the house," Celine explained.
"Well, aren't Noble Blood's houses full of servants?" Miyanna asked.
"They are. He, too, grew up with servants. And yet he cooks and does stuff like this, out of his own free will. He is an oddity even in my eyes," Celine added.
"Oddity?" Miyanna wondered.
Which made Celine sigh, "Weird."
"Ah, true, I never imagined something like this after… everything, you know?" Miyanna replied.
"Get used to it," Celine began, bringing food to her lips, "The sooner you do, the easier it will be."
"What do you mean?" Miyanna asked.
Celine smiled at her, "You will see, sister. Now eat and let's sleep all day long. We will not have another chance to do it, for the near future, after all."
"Come on, you two, breakfast is ready, let's eat," said Blanc to the twins.
"Where are Celine and Miyanna?" asked Lune, joining Blanc in heading towards the table.
Blanc went inside the kitchen and brought the bowls of porridge for the twins outside just as Kael was arriving at the table, "They are resting. Sleeping off the alcohol in their bodies."
"Only the alcohol?" Kael asked, "I went to the bath during the night."
"No point hiding things you would have found out about either way. But they are resting nonetheless," Blanc sighed.
"What do you mean? What happened?" asked Lune.
"Nothing important, Little flower," Blanc smiled at her.
Kael sighed, "Only that Miyanna might become Blanc's wife too, since they-"
Blanc slapped the table, "Kael. That is not for you to decide or announce. I know you suffer. But acting like this will not make you feel better, nor help anyone. Eat your food."
Kael did not argue or speak any longer.
He took the spoon he had next to his bowl and began eating.
"Brother," began Lune, awkwardly trying to change the topic, "What are the plans for today?"
"The final preparations for the road ahead, Little Flower."
