Yong, his blood boiling after hearing that fateful conversation, glared at Nicholas with rage as soon as Nicholas moved away. Seeing him in that state, Nicholas panicked: "Yong... how long have you been here?"
Yong said, his voice trembling with fury: "The things I heard... what I suspect. Is it true?"
Nicholas tried to calm the situation: "It's not how you think it is."
Yong asked with a bitter sneer: "How do I think it is?"
Nicholas, no longer able to bear the pressure, shouted: "Yong! Look, I'm tired of these hide-and-seek games. You'd better go and ask Diana everything. I don't want to be between you anymore; I want to start a new life."
Yong replied with an artificial smile: "Are you sure that when Mary hears you're a partner with Diana, she'll still want to think about a new life with you?"
Yong intended to pass Nicholas and head into the gallery, but Nicholas grabbed his arm. "Wait! Don't tell Mary anything. I'll tell you everything you want to know."
Yong said coldly: "Good. Then follow me; let's go somewhere we can have a long and frank conversation."
They went to the top of a hill. Nicholas reluctantly explained that he was just a simple shareholder. But Yong, who was now putting the pieces of the puzzle together, shouted: "You even know about my shares! Now I understand why Diana always kept her partner hidden from me."
Nicholas tried to downplay the matter, but Yong asked angrily: "Tell me, how long have you two been in a relationship?"
Nicholas replied with surprise and denial: "What relationship? Are you out of your mind? I'm telling you, I'm just a shareholder. What is this nonsense you're saying?"
Yong, who now believed nothing, said: "You both treated me like a fool. Diana's insistence that I not attend the shareholders' meeting, even the power of attorney she took from me for the shares... it was all because of this."
Nicholas moved closer and said pleadingly: "Believe me, there is nothing between me and Diana. I love Mary. When Diana wanted to start the company, she didn't have enough money. I entered as an investment. Later, I realized that the shares everyone thinks belong to Diana actually belong to you."
Yong ignored his words and turned back toward his car. "Diana has to explain everything." He drove quickly toward Diana's company. Nicholas, terrified, kept calling Diana, but Diana, who was in a meeting, had silenced her phone.
Yong entered Diana's office in a disheveled state. The meeting was left unfinished, and Diana, seeing Yong, tried to maintain appearances and dismissed the meeting. When everyone left, Diana asked with a flirtatious tone: "Darling, has something happened?"
Yong said without preamble: "All the time I thought you loved me, you treated me like a fool. Nicholas was your partner, and I didn't know."
Diana tried to deny it: "I didn't know... he bought the shares secretly himself."
Yong, who was now smarter than ever, said sarcastically: "You said one of your close friends had partnered with you, someone you trust... you knew it was Nicholas. You're still chasing him, aren't you? You still want to be with him. All your behaviors with Mary, those jealousies, were all because of this. You played with me; all these years, you played with me to get my shares in your own name."
Diana, seeing there was no escape, went behind her desk and said with her usual pride: "That's right! Nicholas and I loved each other from day one. It was you who entered our lives and ruined everything."
Yong shouted: "You entered our group! You separated Helen from Nicholas..."
Diana screamed in anger: "I'm tired of being blamed because of you. That's right, now what are you going to do? Do you want to break up? You can never give me up; you're always clinging to me!"
Yong said firmly: "Don't worry, they won't blame you anymore! I'll take all my shares and get out of your life. Go to your love!"
Diana screamed in the peak of her anger: "Nicholas and I still love each other; we've even been in a secret relationship for two years!"
Yong headed for the door. Diana, shocked by Yong's words about her shares, looked around and suddenly threw herself onto the glass table in the middle of the office with force. Nicholas, who was behind the door, opened it upon hearing these words and saw Yong coming toward the door. Suddenly, the sound of breaking glass echoed. Yong turned and saw Diana lying on the floor with blood flowing from her head. Yong and Nicholas looked at Diana in amazement. Yong ran immediately toward Diana, but Nicholas, who was terrified, boarded the elevator without being seen by anyone and left the company.
Yong shouted: "Diana... Diana! Are you okay? Answer me! Call an ambulance!"
Everything became chaotic and murmurs filled the company. The ambulance arrived, took Diana away, and Yong followed the ambulance with sadness and anxiety. Ava, who was shocked by this incident, immediately called Mary.
