ULTIMATE DEFENDERS PROGRAM
A-5-ET-34 : Scarvora "The FlyFlash"
Miles away, We see a "girl"; In a breathtaking flash, bursting forth a bolt that shot straight into the sky, igniting an intense Thunderous thunderstorm. and unleashing chaotic weather across the state.
At the same time, a ∆ψX (Delta-Psi-X) pill hurtled toward Earth. This particular pill known as the Kinetic-Fricition-Lux [Stable] ∆ψX pill, radiated a brilliant light as it descended, creating a spectacle against the darkened sky. Typically, ∆ψX pills are remarkably resilient, able to withstand extreme conditions and dissolve only in liquids. However, the unique properties of this pill led it to shatter into microscopic particles when struck by lightning, which were then carried by the updrafts of the storm, mixing with the moisture in the clouds.
Note: This phenomenal can be explained by basic atmospheric science: as warm air rises, it cools and condenses, forming clouds. The energy from the lightning created a localized temperature spike, causing the pill's components to disperse rapidly into the surrounding humid air. The resultant mixture of pill particles and water vapor led to the creation of an electrically charged cloud, which would eventually contribute to erratic weather patterns and lightning strikes.
The presence of the Kinetic-Fricition-Lux ∆ψX pill's essence in the clouds transformed the already thunderous weather, even more chaotic and struck lightning down at three locations.
Among those hit was our main character Nelson Z. Newell. Labelled a loser by his peers due to his poor grades, lackluster athleticism and always being bullied.
After another bullying incident in a dark alley, Nelson found himself caught in a thunderous thunderstorm. The sky crackled with blue and yellow electrical charges as the rain fell. Instead of seeking shelter, he sprinted home, only to be struck by a powerful bolt of lightning, leaving him gravely injured.
He woke up six days later in the hospital, shocking the medical staff with his rapid recovery. His family rushed to his side, a mix of confusion and joy on their faces as they welcomed him back.
DAYS OF THE CRISPY CHICKEN ( FLASHBACK )
On the first six days, The doctors, looking at the boy's completely burnt body (burnt beyond recognition), predicted he would die eventually.
By the second day, they were baffled; he was still breathing. His body began shedding the charred, ashy skin, and new skin was forming underneath.
On the third day, his internal organs were healthy and brain activity was perfectly normal.
By the fourth day, his skin was fully regenerated, and hair began growing on his head (and other places). He even regrew eyelids.
On the fifth day, the doctors removed the bandages from his face. They managed to id him and call his parents. They arrived, happy he wasn't too injured.
On the sixth day the doctors predicted he would remain in a coma for days, but Nelson woke up hours later.
( End of flashback )
On the day of his discharge from the hospital, Nelson noticed his doctor talking to suspicious-looking men. Their hushed tone and furtive glances sparked a fleeting sense of unease, but he paid no attention to it. It had been a week since the accident, yet, something felt off, Nelson had noticed a subtle shift within himself; he felt more energetic with each passing day.
During class, The teacher asked him a question, and to everyone shock "Dully Nelly" answered flawlessly, reciting the textbook verbatim. This was because the previous night, while skipping through pages, Nelson had discovered that he had somekind of "photographic memory". But that's not all; he could also also replay(in his mind) every event of the day in vivid detail.
On his way home, Nelson witnessed a dramatic scene unfold; Bank robbers exchanging gunfire with the police. But, what bewildered [never using this word again] him was that he could see the bullet as they shot out from the gun. It was as if his mind could process the speed of the bullet.
That evening, Nelson's thoughts coalesced into a startling epiphany. The Photographic Memory, The accident; he had been strucked by lightning and somehow, miraculously, he survived? The fact that his mind can process the bullet shots could only mean one thing:
"I must be Flash, I mean I think I have his powers". Nelson stupidly thought.
Nelson shared his theory with his younger sister, Lacey, whom laughed at him.
"...You must have hit your head hard". she mocked.
"First of all, you never got struck by lightning, The doctors said you hit your head hard on something and almost died drowning in the flood caused by the thunderous thunderstorm".
Nelson listened, confused. He knew for a fact he got hit by lightning; the blinding flashy light, it was the last thing he remembered. He remembered the pain vividly, but why would the doctors lie?
The next day, as he walked out of school, he got hit by a baseball and wondered why; he could process bullets but not the baseball coming at his face (read more to understand). As he walked home, Nelson encountered the familiar faces of his tormentors(bullies).
As they chased him through the alley, Nelson surprised himself with an impressive stunt, jumping over the alley gate. Still running, he bumped into a girl, Patricia Megharte, whom annoyed at having lost track of her target, punched Nelson in the gut causing him to get on his knees in pain, but before she could continue nagging, the bullies caught up.
Among them was a lolicon who wanted to try his luck with her, Patricia, however, was not one to back down. Using her impressive Gendai Jujitsu Skills and INGIRLY (you know like inhuman but girly) strength she beat up the bullies (the fight was sooo one sided).
Nelson was bewildered [Damn it!] by Patricia, considering the bullies were in the 9th grade and she looked no older than 10. Patricia quickly fled the scene, seemingly to avoid drawing further attention to herself.
Five days after the incident, Nelson had been acting "giddy" to everyone annoyance. He was suddenly more energetic, athletic and talakative, like a kid on sugar rush. His behavior, especially, surprised the gym teacher, who was used to Nelson's lackluster(loser!) performance. Now, Nelson's excelling in sports, jumping higher and farther, and even won a race.
As he walked home from school, Nelson's bullies, still seething from their humiliation, were out for revenge, for the beating they received from the little girl days ago.
Nelson managed to escape, but soon noticed something strange: his heart pounded faster and faster. When he touched the wall, a yellow, electric-like spark appeared, startling him. He walks, sparks, generated by friction accompanied each step. Nelson, excited, thought this was his "Flash Moment".
Intrigued, he snapped his fingers, triggering a neural response that released kinetic-infused particles. This energy discharge caused his skin to emit (body covered by) a dim/bright, yellow glow (luminescence "reminiscent" of that found in glow sticks).
To test his theory, Nelson ran at insane speed, as he zigzagged through the streets. He eventually made his way to an abandoned location he knew, where he was shocked by a familiar voice from the sky.
It was Patricia, descending from the sky with beautiful, butterfly-like wings. Nelson wondered how she had tracked him, considering his "insane speed". He suspected she might have put a tracker on him, but Princess Sparkle revealed, with a cold smile:
"You had only been moving at 70km/h, Hardly faster than a car at top speed."
She continues. "It wasn't difficult tracking you at all. Your yellow glow this evening didn't help too".
Without another word, She grabbed him and flew to N.E.X.U.S.F.O.R.G.E, a semi-secret spy agency. They had been monitoring him since the accident and were now recruiting him to join the Ultimate Defenders Program: A-5-ET-34. Nelson agreed to join.
As Princess Sparkle reported Nelson's recent achievement, the Vice Commander, Karen, burst into laughter saying:
"70km/h is nowhere close to Dash"
[From The Incredibles movie]
"And your trying to compare yourself with Flash? Remind me why we aren't choosing to dissect him instead, Commander" she said sarcastically.
After 3yrs, training. Nelson, now learnt how to run faster and also to fly using his Kinetic-infused particles (read more to understand). Vice Commander Karen Marietta, always mocked him, calling him "FlashFly". Nelson saw this as an opportunity to create a superhero name, inspired by Patricia.
Since he could form his attire(using his K-I particles). Clothing, resembling a stylish fusion of Micheal Jackson's and Muzan Kibutsuji fashion sense - Panama Hat,
A Shirt typically worn inside a suit,
Vest,
Formal pants,
A Tie,
Jordans,
And his Signature Scarf that covers his neck mouth and nose, adding an air of mystery to his appearance.
He initially decided to call himself Scarf "The Flashfly", though he later reconsidered. Thinking of his middle name, Zikora, He decided to call himself Scarvora "The FlyFlash".
Although, Karen mocked the name for sounding "girly" Nelson was determined to make it his own. Soon other members were recruited, including a speedster rival, QueenShock. The team was appointed with a mission to find and recruit a mysterious and said to be extremely brutal character - Bludini "The BluDevil", by fire or force.
THE CLASSIC ∆ψX (Delta-Psi-X) POWERS :
1. Scarvora's Brace/Densification mechanism Skin is unique (Read more to understand).
2. Scarvora's Enhanced Risk Assessment: Scarvora has a unique ability that allows him to perceive and react to extreme speed threats in a way that normal humans can't.
If something's moving fast, above a normal human reaction time, this ability kicks in; A good example would be a a gunshot or a car speeding towards him at around 900 km/h (just an estimate).
In rare cases (around 16% chance), it might even activate for slower but still fast objects—like a baseball flying at him or an out of nowhere fast punch.
Anyways, The moment the threat is detected, Scarvora's eyes lock onto it instantly, and his brain starts analyzing the movement. It's not exactly; he so fast time slows down shnit.
Scarvora perceives the attack or object "only", like in slow motion, giving him a brief moment to react.
This allows him to either watch, dodge, counter, or prepare for impact way faster than normal. Since his brain has already processed the danger, he doesn't hesitate, he acts immediately.
Note: Only Activates for Extremely Fast Movements – If something isn't fast enough, Scarvora reacts like a normal person. Not Always Reliable – There's only a 16% chance it will trigger for slower threats (like a baseball), so he can't depend on it 100%. If someone fakes an attack or uses an unpredictable movement, he can still get hit. He doesn't have to be attacked for it trigger. It becomes harder to dodge if he hasn't transformed.
[For the rest, you'll have to read the origins of the pill]
KINETIC-FRICTION-LUX [STABLE] PILL POWERS
What makes The FlyFlash special, revolves around his ability to release and utilize energy particles called Kinetic-infused particles;
This is a self-sustaining physiological process by which the individual harnesses kinetic-like energy through automatic friction generation (Physical actions), which then triggers the release of adrenaline-like substances, electrochemical energy, and neurotransmitters, later inducing a giddy, energized state
Additionally, when the individual's heart rate accelerates, it further amplifies the energy release build-up.
As the individual's energy reserves build up, they can release this stored energy on command through specific actions, such as snapping fingers or creating friction between body surfaces. This action triggers a neural response where an energetic discharge occurs within the brain, characterized by an electric-like spark.
Simultaneously, this energy release leads to biochemical reactions in the skin. These reactions interact with specialized cells in the skin known as "charged photocytes".
These cells contain biochemical compounds that, when excited by the energy from friction-induced release, produce an energy-like bioluminescent effect.
The interaction causes the adjacent skin cells to emit light, resulting in a luminescence reminiscent of that found in glow sticks - specifically, a dim to bright, yellow glow( Specific in FlyFlash)
( To be clear, the entire surface of his skin radiates a vibrant, electric-like, yellow glow, reminiscent of a live current that envelopes his body.)
Note: The glow is more of a bioluminescent effect rather than electrical discharge, so touching won't get you shocked. However you might feel a slight tingling or warmth due to the energetic nature of his skin. The glow doesn't make him invulnerable. Only his skin, teeth, tongue, hair and eyes (except the black part of the eyes, which turns a different shade of yellow) glows, his insides and blood are humanly normally.
His yellow glow is the charged photocytes, the electric-like energy covering his body is the Ki-particles.
