If he had been even a little wary of him, he wouldn't have succeeded.
Truly, all of this happened because he regarded him as a father, whether they were arguing, debating, or having a cold war, he always faced Charles Hyde with the mindset of a son.

Iris Harris lowered her head, took a gentle breath, then looked up and smiled, "Let's go home."
Brandan Hyde gazed intently at her smile and nodded slightly, "Okay."
He led her into the car.

Sister Jade was surprised to see them both and asked, "Mr. Hyde, Miss Harris, are you moving back in?"
Brandan Hyde nodded.
Sister Jade smiled, "That's great. This house feels too empty and quite creepy with only one person living in it. Have you both had dinner?"
Iris Harris said, "Not yet. Just make something simple. Brandan and I don't have much appetite today."
