"How many of your people are there in total?"
"I can't tell you that. Because I don't know either..." Elaine lowered her head and murmured, "The surviving children learn various martial arts. Talented ones are quickly sent out, while those who learn slowly stay on the island until needed by outsiders. I don't know how many of us are out there. We don't contact each other."
"Who is the island master you mentioned?" Brandan asked again.
Elaine shook her head.
"Our people call him the master. However, he has never appeared before us, so whether it's a man or a woman, I am not sure... But he assigns tasks for us to manage the work he's set up."
"Is it that person who arranged for you and James Mason to do this work?"
Elaine hesitated for a moment before slightly nodding, "Our current identities were entirely arranged by him."
