Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: His illness hasn’t improved, could she just be an exception…

She immediately walked up to Benjamin Parker, crouched down, and placed her hands on either side of Benjamin's arms, "Darling, how about you call me godmother from now on?"

Seeing Benjamin didn't say anything, Serena Sterling continued to entice him, "Darling, as long as you call me godmother, whatever you want, godmother will buy it for you."

Benjamin pushed away the emotional Serena and stepped back, retreating to a safe distance, then spoke, "It's not that I can't call you godmother, just don't be so excited right now."

Thinking of Serena Sterling as Melody Parker's good friend, recalling that since he can remember, Serena has always taken care of his mommy and him, and in this world, his mommy almost only has this one good friend, which is Serena Sterling.

Benjamin's tightly knitted brows gradually relaxed.

Looking at Serena Sterling with an excited expression, waiting for his reply, he finally gave in.

"Godmother, I have a cleanliness obsession, and I need to be responsible to my future wife. My body is reserved for her to touch, so..."

"Puh puh puh..." Serena gestured as if she was dying from laughter, watching Benjamin and said, "Alright alright, godmother promises not to touch you anymore in the future."

Saying this, Serena reached out and pinched Benjamin's little face, "Darling, how can you be so adorable?!"

Benjamin frowned in displeasure, "Godmother!"

Serena immediately surrendered, "Alright alright, I won't touch you."

"Women!" Benjamin shook his head helplessly and turned back to his room.

He couldn't wait to try out the equipment that Melody had prepared for him.

After Benjamin returned to his room, Melody Parker, with Serena Sterling's help, prepared a sumptuous dinner to celebrate the housewarming.

After the three of them finished eating, Serena reluctantly bid farewell and left the small yet very cozy apartment.

Night fell, and the city lights began to twinkle.

In the Davies Group's CEO office, Adrian Davies closed the last document in his hands, looked at the night scene outside the window, and got up to head out.

Adrian strode forward with his tall, long legs, stepping directly into the exclusive CEO elevator.

The elevator descended directly, taking Adrian to the underground garage.

In the underground garage, a custom-made Rolls-Royce Phantom quietly waited.

Beside the Rolls-Royce stood four bodyguards in black suits.

These four have been with Adrian for a long time.

They followed him to River City four years ago, showcasing remarkable abilities and skills.

Of course, besides their outstanding, extraordinary skills, what allows them to stay by Adrian's side is their absolute loyalty.

Even if it means losing their lives and souls, they wouldn't betray Adrian for a second.

They are Ned Faris, Patrick Faris, Rowan, and Locke; actually, these men were once fugitives Adrian picked up from European casinos, former Chicago escapees and criminals.

Their past names no longer exist, as Adrian is their rebirth father, and he named all four, giving them new identities.

Seeing Adrian step out of the elevator, Ned Faris respectfully opened the car door.

Adrian stretched his long legs and stepped in.

Ned Faris closed the car door and took the driver's seat.

At the same time Ned settled in, Patrick Faris took the front passenger seat.

Meanwhile, Rowan and Locke quickly jumped into another sports car parked beside the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

With the sound of engines roaring, the two cars drove out of the underground garage one after another.

The cars sped along, heading straight to Adrian's private villa located halfway up the hill.

The grand gate outside the courtyard has a license plate recognition system.

As soon as the Rolls-Royce approached, the grand gate automatically swung open.

The car drove straight into the courtyard, passing lush bamboo forests, various plant landscapes, pavilions, corridors, and houses specifically for bodyguards and servants, houses combining white plaster walls with light red roof tiles, finally stopping at the massive garage.

As soon as the car stopped, Patrick Faris quickly got out and opened the back seat door.

Adrian stepped out with his long legs and strode out of the garage.

Seeing Adrian, the servants halted their work and bowed respectfully, "Young Master."

Adrian strode forward into the villa.

The villa was brightly lit and lavishly golden.

Matthew bowed respectfully and took Adrian's coat, "Young Master."

"Mm," Adrian nodded, his black handcrafted leather shoes stepping over a delicate wool carpet, directly entering the washroom. After washing his hands, he sat down at the dining table.

Adrian sat in the main seat, looking at a table full of sumptuous dishes, at the maids standing three meters away, ready to serve at any time. His mind suddenly flashed with Melody Parker's delicate face, which made his jaw clench, yet miraculously, he didn't do anything to her.

He hates and despises women, viewing them as mere dirt.

The company's secretaries are different; they are all male.

And in his villa, even though there are maids, they are strictly warned, unless needed, to stay three meters away from him and not appear in front of him.

Yet that woman not only came close to him but very close.

Not only that, she blatantly challenged him again.

And he did nothing but let her walk away in front of him.

Was he in a particularly good mood, or...

Thinking of something, Adrian's cold eyes turned to a nearby maid, "You, come here."

The maid heard the command and immediately stepped forward.

But as she took a few steps, Adrian's brows furrowed.

The villa maids are forbidden from wearing perfume and makeup. Yet, there is still the scent of female hormones.

Adrian endured his discomfort, staring intently at the maid approaching step by step.

He wanted to test if he was now fine and no longer detested the scent of women.

Otherwise, how could Melody Parker behave so freely in his presence?

The maid was frightened by Adrian's icy gaze, trembling as she continued forward.

When the maid was still two steps away, Adrian's black eyes suddenly widened, finally unable to endure, he shouted coldly, "Stop, get out!"

The maid's face turned pale and immediately turned to run outside.

Adrian's icy expression was like frost.

It seems he hasn't changed; he still hates and despises women as before.

As for that woman, perhaps she was just an exception today.

Adrian thought no more, picked up his chopsticks, and started eating dinner.

His movements were neither fast nor slow, elegant and dignified.

After dinner, Adrian walked out of the dining room, past carved marble railings, stepped over marble stairs, and went straight into the study.
