Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Adrian, I've been waiting for you to marry me!

Walking up to Tyler Dormer, Ava Parker casually let go of her suitcase, and looked at Tyler with arrogance, saying: "Assistant Dormer, what has Adrian been busy with lately?"

Tyler took the suitcase and replied with calm professionalism: "Miss Parker, the president has been busy with many things every day."

After speaking, Tyler looked at Ava and asked: "Miss Parker, should I take you back to the Parker family residence?"

Ha, was he asking for her stance?

How worried must he be that she would look for Adrian!

Ava cast a glance at Tyler, then headed out in her high heels, "Take me to my apartment instead."

Tyler said no more, and followed with the suitcase.

Outside the airport, a black Bentley was parked there.

Tyler stepped ahead of Ava, placed the suitcase in the car, and opened the car door for her. "Miss Parker, please."

Ava didn't even look at Tyler, arrogantly stepped in, and sat down.

Tyler closed the car door, got in, and started the car.

Soon, he brought Ava back to her apartment.

As soon as Ava returned to her apartment, she took off her high heels and lay on the bed to rest.

Once the fatigue of the journey began to fade, Ava lazily stood up from the bed.

She walked to the bar, poured herself a glass of wine, and gently swirled it in her hand.

In her dark eyes, there shimmered a glow of hope, "Adrian, it's been four years. This time I should marry you, become the genuine Mrs. Davies, rather than just a fiancée."

Having said that, Ava drank the wine in her hand in one gulp.

Afterwards, Ava went to the bathroom, washed off all the makeup and fragrance, applied a subtle makeup, changed into a refreshing attire, and took a taxi to Davies Clan.

Upon arriving at Davies Clan, Ava took the elevator directly to the floor where Adrian Davies's office was.

As the elevator doors opened, Ava had just stepped out when a secretary promptly greeted her, "Miss Parker, the president is in a meeting."

The fact that Ava was Adrian's fiancée was known throughout the company.

"Oh, it's alright. I'll wait for him in Adrian's office." Ava continued walking towards the president's office without stopping.

The secretary looked troubled, "Miss Parker, without the president's permission, the president's office is not allowed..."

Ava ignored her, walked directly to the president's office and opened the door to enter.

Another secretary saw this and approached, "Never mind, you can't stop her."

The secretary who tried to block Ava returned helplessly, "True, we've been working here since the company's establishment, and although she doesn't come often, every time she's here, she acts haughtily, disregarding us completely."

"Yeah, she even dismisses Assistant Dormer, let alone us. Besides, hasn't the president always made it clear not to let Miss Parker in anyway? After all, she's the president's fiancée."

"There's no direct instructions against it, but every time Miss Parker comes, the president doesn't look too pleased. What kind of fiancée is this, leaving us in trouble every time."

"Uh... That's true, but fortunately, Miss Parker doesn't come often, so our trouble is limited."

After exchanging a few more words, the two secretaries returned to their respective duties diligently.

Once inside the president's office, Ava sat directly on the sofa.

She initially wanted to sit by Adrian's desk, but considering Adrian might dislike it, she restrained herself.

Ava looked around the grand office, smiling as she took in everything.

All here, including those working here, would eventually belong to her.

The owner of this place—Adrian Davies, her fiancé, now the king of River City.

She and he shared a son, and she would make him gradually accept her, make him marry her.

Even if he disliked women and refused to marry her, she would be the exception.

She would stop at nothing to keep him and be his wife for life.

Knock knock knock... The sound of knocking came.

Before Ava could speak, a secretary entered.

He placed the coffee he was holding on the table in front of Ava, "Miss Parker, your coffee."

"Hmm." Ava continued playing with her carefully manicured nails, ignoring the secretary.

"…" The secretary awkwardly turned and left.

The grand president's office was left with Ava alone again.

Ava picked up the coffee, sipping patiently and waiting for Adrian to return.

Soon, Adrian finished his meeting and walked out of the conference room.

Seeing Adrian, the secretary immediately approached, "President, Miss Parker is here. She's waiting for you in your office."

Miss Parker?

That flirtatious model?

"Got it," Adrian nodded, said nothing more, and strode towards the office.

However, when he pushed the door open and saw the woman sitting on the sofa, Adrian immediately frowned in displeasure, "Why are you here?"

Ava immediately stood up, "Adrian, I told you I'd be back today."

Adrian walked to his desk and sat down, speaking impatiently, "Hmm, I know."

Then he picked up a file on the desk and started leafing through it.

Ava watched Adrian's expression closely, keeping a careful distance of three meters, she cautiously spoke: "Adrian, I heard that the company's quarterly products need a model, I came back this time wanting to try for the 'Dream of Love' theme."

Adrian didn't even raise his head, "No, the model has already been chosen."

"Chosen? Who is it?"

Ava moved forward excitedly, yet dared not get too close.

She stopped her feet, still two meters away from Adrian.

She knew he had an ailment, one that prevented women from getting close.

Therefore, she could not approach.

Adrian looked up, his dark eyes on Ava, and said in an undeniably cold voice: "Whoever it is, the model has already been decided."

Ava was unwilling to accept this.

She was his fiancée!

In past matters like this, hadn't he always indulged her?

Ava gazed at Adrian with a sorrowful look, "Adrian, you know I'm a celebrity, a very famous one. Most importantly, I'm your fiancée. How can you give this opportunity to an outsider instead of leaving it for me?"

Adrian's face darkened, and he cruelly stated a truth Ava could not accept: "Haven't I given you enough opportunities before? What were the results? The current spokesperson's professional skills are very good, more suitable than you."

"But..."

Ava wanted to say more, but was directly cut off by Adrian, "If there's nothing else, you may leave."

There's something!

How could there be nothing!

She came this time specifically to be the model for 'Dream of Love', to be the image spokesperson for Davies Jewelry!

"Adrian, I'm your fiancée. Five years ago on that night, you left me the Jade Pendant, and we had Daniel. Four years ago you searched for me high and low, I was so happy then! You gave me the status of fiancée, yet refused to marry me! Adrian, I've been waiting for you to marry me!"
