When Scarlett reached the hall, the maid was leaning on the sofa asleep, perhaps just resting for a moment with her eyes closed, not deeply asleep, and upon hearing Scarlett's footsteps, she immediately opened her eyes.
Seeing Scarlett walking towards her, the maid rubbed her sleepy eyes and quickly stood up, speaking in a hoarse, sleepy voice, "Miss Yates, is there anything you need?"
Scarlett turned her head to look around, furrowing her brows, and asked in confusion, "Do you know where Matthew Saxon went? Did he go out again after we came back?"
